Nah, much bigger...biggest pony forum on the web, actually. I suppose it's that sheer number of active members that makes social cliques "necessary", but it turns what should be a fun experience into a very alienating popularity contest. (Haven't yet witnessed that type of behavior here, so I won't be taking any extended breaks from EPF anytime soon.) But hey, at least it hasn't gone the way of another pony forum that devolved into an all-out anime forum where bronies are actually mocked...yet. There IS quite a large group of people who won't shut up about Madoka, so I think it might be headed down that path. :v
@Sinderlocke MLP Forums used to be amazing, but the more active members there are, the harder it becomes getting anyone to give you the time of day. If you decide to join there, you either need to be okay with living in the shadow of the popular members, or you need to have a personality that's out-there enough for you to shoot up in popularity, but not so risque that the mods will be watching you like hawks. But honestly, MLPF and EPF are the only forums I've seen that seem to be worth a damn. The other big-ish ones (Ponyville and apparently Canterlot) I've heard nothing but negative things about. And World of Equestria...well, that's basically MLPF 2.0, made by ex-MLPF members who weren't satisfied with the staff, so they made their own site. Barely even large enough to check out, honestly.
Oh god Forum politics. Also forum cliques. I don't think my personality is likeable or 'out there' enough to warrant a favourable response from people. I could get annoying very easily. I might try looking around a bit though. It'd be nice to meet more active members. Not that I'm not satisfied with the members here. Though sometimes it can get 'dead' here if youknowwhatimean. Also is it just me or do we rarely get a 'new' member that actually stays for longer than a month anymore? I remember when I joined here, and all of the staff was reshuffling as well as the mods and stuff, and the most popular members were kicking up a fuss and then a bunch of funny people left all in the space of a couple of months. That was sad. I remember Ridley used a Doctor Whooves avatar for SO LONG when he joined. There was also a user that went around with an OC that liked to eat ponies a lot. I think I joined at a weird time.
You're forgetting EQF (Equestria Forums). That one was priceless while it lasted; I spent an extensive amount of time participating in forum and staff discussions despite never having actually been a member of the staff.
Sinderlocke Bah, I've tried going to other forums listed already. Geez, people there really know how to act like the target demographic of the show, I tell you. Just trust me, you'd be better off staying here where people actually have any skin at all!
There are enough nice, interesting and tolerable people on this site with a limited enough number of immature people. That alone makes it something special compared to a lot of the forums I've used over the years. EP is a pretty nice place. /genuineresponse
But what if instead of being nice, the above things were rice? Yes, rice people in a rice place. 12spooky14you
Halo was one of my favourite games. Then I played Dark Souls, so that changed very quickly. Then I played the Witcher, so that too changed very quickly.
That does make sense, though, ridding of them with your own hands would be a lot of fun... - - Auto Merge - - Sounds familiar... The general atmosphere and layout of MLPF was amazing, but the people there... Uhg. I'm actually glad I don't have to deal with that crap anymore.
