Trouble at Sea -- Play as you Read -- [video=youtube;3Jf20-Cnjn0]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Jf20-Cnjn0[/video] *Far across the open sea hundreds if not thousands of miles away from the shores of Equestria...the sun was branching over a proud gryphon Empire...It's main tower, home to their ruler Empress Nortica, shot forth like a dagger cutting through the clouds, roughly shaped like a purple and white cliff face, covered with highlighted jewels and guest balconies. Below the ruleing building, there was another host of rock like homes and large trees, playing homes to the vast citizens of gryphon kind. But unlike any normal day in the Gryphon Empire, today was an omnious occassion. The city below was decorated with purple fabric, lineins of gold and silver alike, brandishing the Empire Crest of a golden gryphon. The crowd of gryphon and even dragons below, cheered to the spiraling tower...as movement began to emerge on its main announcment balcony...their ruler...Empress Nortica...was here...ready to proclaim the speech to begin the celebration.* Lady and Gentle Gryphons! Tis' a glorious day for our Empire, as we play host on this momentous occasion! *Announced Empress Nortica of the Eastern Gryphon Empire.* *She stood high above the royal balcony that observed the Empire's prime city of the gryphon rule, as her citizens cheered of her proclaim, while very important but small pony guests stood back behind her, waiting for her speech to continue. Dressed in her royal purple garments with the crest of the Empire, her golden sharp pointed crown stood high on her head, she was both powerful and beautiful to witness with her royal dark violet blue feathers and crest.* Today is the day we celebrate the first year anniversary of our peace treaty with our humble neighbors the wyvern dragon clans of the North, with one of their Matriarch leaders, Prya! *She stepped back as a large red wyvern female dragon just flew up from above the castle to land on a customized perch that over sees the city next to the balcony. The great leader Prya gave out a mighty roar along with a burst of her fire breath as a proud and entertaining demonstration to the gryphon crowd. They all cheered with excitement and awe.* Hurray Prya! *Nortica continued,* but that is not all that we celebrate my citizens! Today on this worthiest of days…We also give thanks and praise to her ascension…power, and rule…we give thanks to a pony who not only strived to bring peace and harmony to our great peoples, but who sacrificed everything so that love and unity would prevail! A pony who made this day possible so that our people could co-exist with the dragon kingdoms of the North. A pony…that I am proud to say, is considered mine and lady Prya's most trusted advisor… Lady and gentle Gryphons! Ponies and Dragons of all! I present to you… Princess Lightning Bliss, Alicorn of Unity! *The great purple gryphon happily stepped aside and bowed in respect as a small, shy white alicorn pony stepped forth, dressed in a pink royal gryphon dress, with a golden neck brace color to emphasize her black mane with rainbow highlights, holding up long silver drapes highlighed in gold and showing the crest of the Empire as well. Her horn protruded proudly forward through her hair as her long ears dropped back. She nervously approached the balcony's banner to oversea the Empire's citizens and gulped a little at the sight at how many beings there were for her to see as she slowly lifted her silver shoed hoof up and waved humbly to the crowd below, smiling nervously. She looked to her right to see Prya her mother-inlaw smiling down upon her as well...even though she was happy to see the red wyvern leader...it seemed to add to her pressure* Would you like to say something Princess Lightning Bliss? *Nortica whispered into her ear gently, but it still made the pony jump up a bit.* Oh um… should I? *Bliss asked nervously as she turned back to her friends and husband, all standing confidently behind her, also dressed in fine attire.* Go on sweety, say something to them, *her strong shape shifting dragon guardian and husband nodded to her while smiling.* Um…ok, *she took a deep breath, then turned her attention back to the crowd.* A long time ago, citizens of…this great Gryphon Empire…I was but a shy pegasi mare, only seeking love in my heart and a partner to live my life with me. That journey, to which has brought me here today, gave me new insight to the importance of what it means to love your brother or sister…whether they be of pony, dragon or gryphon. I learned that it does not matter what you are, or who you are, but what you choose to be and who you choose to be with that matters, regardless of what others think! *She then turned to her husband and motioned him to come and stand next to her, as he did, she continued* Citizens of the Gryphon Empire, my husband….is a shape shifting dragon, my lover, and my protector. I fell in love with him, because he saw something in me I didn't know I had…just as I saw something in him. Our union…was once viewed as an abomination and outrage amongst our kinds…and it brought about pain, death and segregation… I have learned from this fact, that if we don't unite together as one, then we are all doomed to the forces of darkness and hate…But I see now, we have nothing to fear! Because we are all here together on this day…Friends…united…as ONE! *The entire crowed cheered at her climax, screaming and hollering from far below as she and Nights turned away and headed back inside the tower, accompanied by the Empress and two royal gryphon guards, and her friends, Seth, NightStrike, Polairs, Skylar and Volt.* I shall speak with you later mother before I head back with you to visit our home lands? *Night Lights called to his mother Prya just before she took off.* Indeed so! I look forward to speaking with you my son, it has been awhile! *She spread her wings and took to the air, making the crowd roar as she did, circling the tower to add in one last thing before her decent down* I'll be in the royal gryphon wine cellars below! It's the largest place they have for me after all! Sounds good mother! I'll be with you shortly! *He waved his hoof at her as she head downward, then turned back, trotting up alongside his white mare.* *Blissy sighed heavily as she followed Nortica into her thrown room, feeling anxious and irritated to get the offered royal garments off herself. She did smile knowing it made her happy that her husband was going back with his mother to revisit his birth place…it had been a long time, since her ascension that the two dragons were able to visit with each other on happier terms. But she was sadden knowing that he wouldn't be coming with her when she and her friends travel back to Equestria. As she and their guests followed the Empress, they entered a large banquette area, and proceeded to gather some much needed nourishment after a long day of speech and proclamations. After placing a heaping pile of fruits and bread on her plate, she turned to her friends, smiling at them for attending.*

Their eyes meet for only a few seconds, but seems like an eternity to his mind. Slowly he raises to his feet, his sleek black mane gently blowing away from his face, with each step he continues to stare at his beloved friend, even in her current state still looking as beautiful as ever. Memories of their past flash through his mind and time around them seems to slow as he comes to a halt in front of her, his blue eyes moving side to side as he looks into hers, his heart full of affection and caring. He gently brushes away the tangled mane from her face and wipes away the tears from her red cheeks , again not saying a word for a few moments, just feeling once again the power and strength of their bond* Bliss.... *His eyes well up slightly with a motion but he keeps himself composed, not letting his feelings and emotions overcome him, he speaks softly* I see none of those things *He smiles a little seeing her confused look and continues* I see you. I see the most caring and amazing pony who I have ever had the good fortune to come across during my short life. *He gently takes her hoof in his and keeps smiling* I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that I have never come across somepony who really has changed my life so much for the better *His mind wanders back to the months before their first encounter, images flash in his mind of the days he would spend alone sat on the clouds watching other ponies going about their business, a time where all hope seemed to have faded from his world* .... I used to feel so alone, not a friend in the world until I met you *Sniffs and grins a little* Sure at first I remember we barely got along and butted heads more than once but *Places her hoof where is heart is and smiles at her* now... *he looks into her eyes again, his heart full of words that could not be spoken, he sighs a little and nuzzles her* I love you like a true sister Bliss.... I really do Look *He slowly turns with her and points outside the window towards the Yacht, lines of guards dressed in their gleaming gold and purple armor of the gryphon empire patrol the decks and the docks beyond awaiting their arrival, he turns back to her and smiles* All of this is for YOU blissy, all these creatures today came here to see you... doesn't that say something about how much you are cared about ? *He brushes her mane again gently and chuckles a little* Look how far you have come, gone from being a lone mare who had all but given up on finding happiness, confined to a life of loneliness and anger, suffered through years of abuse at the hands of others and had more than your fair share of tragedies... but yet your still here.... *The wind blows his mane across his face slightly and he brushes it away, hearing the large beat of wings he looks outside to see Night Lights flying high above the castle with his mother Pyra, their scales gleaming in the afternoon sun, he smiles and turns back to her* You now have a husband who loves you and makes you happy * Grins at her and gives a little sigh* If you want the truth then he is the luckiest dragon alive *His cheeks go red a little as he speaks* What im trying to say is... *His words choke in his throat a little and he clears it before looking into her eyes* If we had met under different situations... in a different time... maybe in another life... *Grins and clears his throat again, his heart full of longing but at the same time his mind full of the knowledge that it could never be, he smiled again, trying not to portray his true feelings* Who knows... but every day I thank Celestia for allowing me the chance to have been able to meet some pony like you *squeezes her hooves a little and grins* As long as you don't forget about me as you get even more popular among the different species, then I will always be there for you *He wraps his hooves around her and hugs gently, closing his eyes as he continues speaking, the breeze entangling their manes slightly* Everything in this world happens for a reason, sometimes we are dealt a hand that we aren't happy with but the power is within us all to make the best of our situation, as the pressure begins to mount we often forget about the small things in life that used make us happy, we forget to look at the wonders all around us, the beauty and complexity of it all... we forget about the things most important to us... *He smiles at her before continuing* All we can do is keep on going and smile in the face of adversity, and when we feel like coming to the end of our tether just stop, hold up our hoof, take a breath and focus on the reasons of why we are here and remember the ones we love *Squeezes her hoof and a tear trickles down her cheek* However much it means coming from me I will never forget about you nor let you go through these things alone, even if the day should come that we can never speak to each other again then I will always remember you and what you have done for me *He sniffs a little and stares out of the window, the sunlight causing his tears to shimmer and sparkle, he grins as he looks out at the clear blue waters beyond, listening to the gulls calling and the ponies clamouring around, he takes a deep breath of the salty ocean air before turning back to her* I love you Bliss, we all do, never forget how much you mean to us and that you are never alone in this world, and somewhere out there your father is watching you... and I know he must be the proudest stallion whoever lived right now *He stops speaking as his words choke up in his throat, desperately trying not to cry in front of her , he clears his throat and grins, brushing his mane away from his face a little as they continue to look at each other, the breeze still fluttering their manes*

Don't count on the trip to the empire any time soon! *She winked at him* *Nortica flew up above the ominious racers and held up her hand* Alright you three...just becareful and don't tear up my castle please! *She laughed* On my mark...Ready... *She lowered herself down, stomping her hoof* Set... *She dropped her ears under her hood, her wings flatten under her cape, she licked her lips and darted her eyes at Seth...then to Volt... The second he heard 'go', the bio-wolf sunk his claws into the carpet and flung himself forward. With most of his power going to his bio-arm, Seth gained momentous speed. As he reached his top speed for inside the halls, he had a flashback of his back in the wolven army. Every day they ran the perimeter of the capital. Loser had to do it again. He and his team were the fastest wolves on base, but what else could you expect from the Wolfpack. "This is for the brethren!" He yelled as he ran down the halls towards the open land. (ooc: It's good to be back guys!)
(OOC Yes this is where we are continuing the RP Volt, have fun!) *She thrusted her whole head forward, her eyes narrowed and she snorted air out of her nose as she ran. She could hear the padded feet of Seth coming up right next to her. She looked at the corner at the eye and seeing he was making great strides larger then her own and would over take her in seconds* I DONT THINK SO! *She whinnied happily, getting into the thrill of the competition. She spotted they were coming up on their first set of stairs and kicked the floor, leaping into the air, hitting the wall of the stair rail, then bounced it and went flying down the stairs without the use of her wings, landing on the second ramp of stairs, gaining some grounds ahead of the wolf, but was unsure of where Doc. Volt was in the race* WHOOPIE CANT CATCH ME!!!
*He lazily flies behind them, just managing to keep pace while gently grooming himself as he went, watching them run down towards the dock he smiles at the site of them all being so happy* Hey comon, wait for me guys!!! *Smirks and zooms over the top of them, the warm ocean breeze whipping his mane behind him, the sun glistening off his white coat. As he perches on top of the highest point of the ship he grins and watches them all racing towards him* :derpe:
"HECK! ahahaah you said no wings, but you doidn't said no tecnology!!" Volt screamed oulling a little lever on his saddle, two tesla coils unfolding and turning backward "yahuuuuuuuuu!!!" he screamed again turning them on "HERE COMES THE LIGHTTTIIAAAARGHHHHHHHH" a long stream was bursted from them, litterally dragging away the poor Volt on the groung that was litterally cleaning the floor with his head, he jumped on a step and crashed against the windows failing outside "...nghh... i.. i think that the emperess will kill me now.... gah...." he trowed away the destroied coils "well i am outside! i can still win this!" Volt ended with his nose bleeding, and walking left and right trying to hold a straight line, he then felt down on the sea "BUCK! ..."
*He merely chuckled and smiled as the others began racing towards the yacht docked in the harbour, as he slowly walked with the empress on her side* Hehe... Those ponies are way more energetic than I am at the moment, since I haven't slept that well really and I'm hoping to get some rest as soon as I get inside your magnificent yacht, your highness!
Gah! That little cheater! *She huffed as she saw Volt crash out the window using his jet packs* I said no wings yes...but i didn't say no magic! But I'm a fair player! I don't need magic or wings to win! *She focused all her energy into her legs, throwing herself off the rest of the stairs and ended up in a large room filled with guards escorting visitors out of the gathering room of the castle* OH excuse me, pardon me! Coming through *She zig zagged around gryphons and ponies alike* GAIN WAY!!!
"gulp..." volt bited a rope trying to get out of the water "ngh.. buck... " he said scrolling away the water like a dog "HECK! MY FEATHERS!" he screamed looking at the mess on his back ":ahh:heck... this serves me well.. sigh.." he said lying down and licking his wings trying to get them in a good shape "luckily there is sun... damn... i can't fly in this condition nghhh" "i wonder where are the others right now... " he carefully placed his secondaries in position, alligning the primaries whil some feathers felt on the ground "that's why we peagsis should stear away from salt water.. damn.."
Seeing Volt fly through the window only made him laugh. That pony knows how to be impressive. As Lightning Bliss passed him, Seth had an idea. This was a city, so it was going to be crowded. Why not take a more direct root? Going over to a window, he stopped to open it. He looked out at the rooftops, finding the quickest root to take to the docks. Finding the best way, he jumped out of the window. He free fell for a few seconds till he hit the stone rooftop. Turning his downward momentum into acceleration for his run across the roves towards the docks. "Who's in the lead now, Bliss." He muttered to himself as he ran.
*She shoved her way passed an eager crowed of gryphons wanting to get her autograph, making her way to the entrance, panting profusely, sweat was clearly under her wings, then she spotted the harbor not more then a few yards away...* Almost...there... *She smiled and began to trot over when she spotted Seth on the roof much ahead of her, he was not more then a hop, skip and a jump away by now* No no no no no!!! *She galloped on the stone pavement that quickly gave way to wood as she got closer to the docs, passing Volt as he was climbing up the edge* Why Volty!? *She hollared back* You look a little washed out! *She laughed as she darted onto the doc, praying that Seth haven't already beaten her*
Volt heard Bliss and raised his head "ngghhh!!! DAMN! PRINCESS! YOU DO NOT HELP YOUR LOYAL SUBJECTS!!! AHAHAH!" luaghted Volt interupting his delicate operation "well at least she is funny... heck if only all rulers where like her... oh well.... sigh.. looks like i have lost this" he flapped his right wing losing plenty of feathers and water "sigh... i am more wet than the sea itself! argh! gimme a mandryer!"
Seth, seeing Bliss close in on the docks, double times it as he races for the the last few houses. He could beat her if he makes the last jump. As he puts pressure on the roof for one last leap of faith, he fell through the roof. He crashed through the home, bounced off something fluffy, and crashed through a window. He landed with a hard thud on the docks. Looking up, he saw a tired Bliss. When he looked back on himself, he noticed there was a teen-aged female griffon on top of him. "...Sorry..." He said with a sheepish smile.
*She panted heavily but was unable to burst out laughing at the seems seeing Seth on the ground the way he was underneath a female gryphon* Oh Celestia and Luna...at this point I don't care if I won or lost...this is too epic to ignore! *She sat down bawling with laughter for several minutes before she came to a conclusion* Who did win anyway?
*He shouts down from the pole* You took your sweet time about that slow pokes!!! *Grins and shakes his rear at them before turning back around to look out to see, closing his eyes and enjoying the warm breeze running all over his body, he mutters to himself* Never thought I would say this, being pegasus and all but... this is awesome!!!!
