Well, I haven't seen Tyro wrap himself around the world in a ring of fire, but then Tyro does have the largest stash of Gifs... I'll give the victory to Tyro.
I never understood the point of Shezow. Once the novelty wears off (about halfway through the first episode), it's really not very good.
He seems to like it, despite only watching one episode. He just want's to go as Shezow for the laugh factor.
The last one I think I watched was about... Changelings? I think that was an episode. I lost interest in the show very quickly; I've only seen some 5 or 6 of the episodes anyway. I'm much more easily amused by the fandom.
I honestly like all of the new episodes. I can still relate to them all really well and I still laugh. Just, that pinkie rap, man. It was the best.
The good fandom stuff is the only reason i'm still around. Maybe i just prefer stories that can't be visually summed up as a string threaded through some ping pong balls.
...This triggered an interesting association to an object conceptually similar to what you described, but with an intended purpose unsuitable for this forum. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for.
I'm the same way. There are some who constantly complain of the newer episodes' quality, but from what I've observed, this season hasn't been significantly better or worse than se02. Methinks the people who've been decrying se04 so far are just coming to the realization that they've fallen out of love with pones and are using "the show's going downhill" as a cheap justification for their disenchantment. ...Just my hypothesis, though. I don't know what goes on in other people's brains, so I can't be sure. All's I know is, nary a single episode this season has truly disappointed me thus far (except perhaps Rainbow Falls, which kind of rubbed me the wrong way).
My AskSinderSkull blog is nominated for Best Tragedy against Ask Crayon the Homeless pony. Even if I don't win I'm so happy that my blog got nominated for something I'm just here like https://polldaddy.com/poll/7947601/ <- - - Link if anyone is interested.
The whole breaking gender roles and cross dressing just screams marketed towards the tumblr crowd to me. Shame that for the most part, that group has no money to spend. That combined with it being a very one note show, I couldn't find myself interested past the first ten minutes. It would have been better as a short, or a one time gag in a different show, not a show on its own.
Yeah, and i don't see why you'd want to appeal to the tumblr crowd. They have less self awareness than a bowl of salsa and an IQ average of around -3.
It seems to me like they were trying to market towards a group that hadn't been marketed towards before. All over tumblr they cry out for social justice, for people to break those gender roles! And what happens when a company does make a product that just exactly what they want? It dies because the tumblr crowd has no money, and what little money it has is spent elsewhere.
