I wanted to toss a few grenades in the cave and just walk out like "Yeah i'm done with you."

I might not bother completing the story, unless i can still free roam after.

 

There are two endings. Only one of them is PG13.


And yes, after finishing the story, you can still wander around aimlessly as much as you want.

 

I think Jason's friends are supposed be like that. All they are are spoiled kids with rich parents.

 

Probably not much to do since all the human enemies are dead.

There needs to be a third ending.

The not-so-PG13 ending involves you intentionally killing your friends. I'm guessing that's the kind of ending you were hoping for.

I don't even like Jason. He doesn't come across as a killer or someone who even has the capacity to become a crazy, cold-blooded jungle commando.

He's whiny too. And he gets knocked out easier than a narcoleptic during a sleeping gas leak while it rains coconuts in some of the missions.

Yet when i play him in free roam. He's a bigger badass than chuck norris.

I blame bad writing.

 

I agree, not to mention I hate the way he looks. There's just something about his face that's dopey or something. Jason suffers from the same writing flaws as a lot of sandbox game characters in that ultra-violence doesn't make sense with his personality. I like that the writers took a risk by making him out to be an unlikely hero with no combat experience, but there should have been more exposition on why Jason is able to morally survive in the game. The undertones of insanity don't do enough, in my opinion, though I do appreciate the touch.

 

That's what I was thinking of when I wrote that. I've never read the book, but I like the movie along with nearly all of Kubrick's work.
