Man, I love Science Fantasy.

Aren't robots marvelous? They cook, they clean, they wash and practically do everything we could want! No complaints. No fuss. No mess. No need to pay anything or anyone for decades on end. All shapes, sizes and needs. Isn't it marvelous?

Not many laws attached to them either. Not like their unionised or anything. There's copyright that stops ponies from stealing designs. Warranty information in case it breaks. Some companies also have laws against reprogramming too. They get fussy about people stealing their code, you know what I mean?

So, effectively they have the same rights and laws as the computer you're currently reading this on. And then they added AI. And guess what?

No new laws. Nothing, nada, zippo! Well, slightly tighter regulations on code but otherwise, absolute bupkis.

So, these thinking machines that could alter their code and work intelligently could now do all the cooking, cleaning, washing and practically do anything you want even better than before! They can think now. They're bound by strong laws but they're ours to do as we please. Isn't it great?

But you've done stuff with your computer, right? Some people will fiddle with them, despite the prohibitive measures from their maker. You know, different voices, personality alterations, extra functions. Before you ask: 3 ponies have reported to have married several of these machines. Why not? It's not like anyone cares, clearly. 45 crimes a year are supposedly performed by robots. Although, the person giving the orders are the ones held responsible. Also, smash it with a hammer? Never mind, there's warranty right?

Then how about those that break? Well, not all of them get carted off to be fixed. In fact, some are actually brought and sold. You see, even if their AI's have gone either kaput or jailbreaking their programming has caused more functions than required, they're useful for spare parts. It's a real big business, these robots cobbled together. They work...mostly but they're very cheap.

So, welcome to the Sparkle Co. Skunkworks. You have 20 floors of scrap and building plants. And there's a power core in the facility that's sorta, kinda giving off ion radiation that can cause memory damage and mild malfunctions. The machines that work here are shielded of course but who cares about you? You're just the scrap.

Oh yeah! There's you, as a nice little pile of bits and bobs, ready to be ripped apart and assembled into something else. Or recycled.

But, you know, that's the marvelous thing about robots. Who cares about you? People need robots and you got the bits. You wouldn't be so selfish as to try to escape would you?

Yes. These machines can be pony-shaped of course or any shape you like and they have a history of some kind. Either they are on the blink and somepony thought it best to just chuck 'em or somepony was rooting around in their heads and caused too many changes for their liking. Rather than try and fix that, they gave up and scrapped them. These could be for anything: butlers, maids, chefs, firefighters, police, surgeons, army, navy, space, personal use, toys. The list is rather large. Obviously, your looking to get your character to safety.

Actually, would you believe this came about from a mixture of Re:Chain of Memories and the last bit of Wall-E that takes place on the Axiom. Although, like Professor Utonium working too close to Chemical X, I seem to have added in the oppressive overtones of Abe's Oddysee by accident. So, have fun being an insignificant object! Because this RP looks incredibly soul crushing...

Oh dear, why did I make this one? I'm the GM! I'd have to be this miserably oppressive at all times. It's gonna be bizarre if I get this one off the ground.
