-I'm in a (currently going nowhere) band. Our style's an amalgam of thrash, power, speed, and prog metal. We've got an entire album written and mostly recorded, but we're still waiting on our singer to lay down his tracks.

-I hate pretty much all pop music, past and present (although I personally feel past pop music, for the most part, is still not as bad as today's pop).

-I love most metal, but I can't stand bands that employ growling or shrieking as the main vocal style.

-Also a big fan of orchestral music and video game scores. I'm one of the few folks I know who can listen to a looped NES chiptune for hours on end and not go insane.

-I draw pones. Not with any sort of distinctive style to call my own, mind you, but it's something I enjoy.

-I might have Social Anxiety Disorder; aside from being generally poorly equipped to deal with social situations, I just get this overwhelming sense that everyone I meet immediately thinks the worst of me the instant they lay their eyes upon me.

-Though not diagnosed, I might also have a form of dyslexia. It's mostly with numbers, which makes my accounting job interesting. E.g., I'll see $87.39 and say "eighty-seven ninety-three", but when I punch the number in, I do it correctly. This might also explain the many spoonerisms that come out of my mouth daily.

-I once weighed 250 lbs., and managed to lose 30 lbs. over the course of a year. Unfortunately it seems my weight loss has plateaued, so I'm stuck at a still rather stocky 220.

-I've spent at least a grand on MLP merch over the past year. I regret nothing.

-I tend to drink my coffee ice-cold and black. (Just like my heart. </emo>)

-I love tabletop RPGs, but only if they're pretty easy to grasp. If it takes memorizing a million-and-one rules, it's not for me.

Well, I like clop. There's something just so heartwarming and sweet about seeing these equines I've grown to love so much getting...well, intimate. (And for reasons I can't explain, I'm also a fan of gay clop even though I'm straight. I guess it's just because stallions are just as adorable as mares in the style of FiM? Who knows.)

-Red Dwarf is one of my favorite shows ever. Never does it fail to lift my mood.

-I've never had a lasting romantic relationship. Every girl I've been with was either extraordinarily bland, took advantage of me, or had way too much emotional baggage (being unstable myself, it's mandatory that I find someone who IS stable. Unstable + unstable = ATOM BOMB).

-I became an agnostic deist after coming to the conclusion that Christian teachings are, by and large, bogus IMO. I'm tolerant of religious (or non-religious) people who are, themselves, tolerant of others. Those who use religion to justify intolerance and bigotry, however, can take a leap off the Golden Gate for all I care.

-People whose main concern in life is amassing as much Internet popularity as possible are one of my biggest pet peeves in life. "Pay attention to me! I matter! Really, I do!!! T^T"

More boring "interesting" stuff to come later, maybe.

    Though of some more:

    - I wrestled for 6 years in middle and high school, usually starting at 140lbs. and ending the season at 135lbs.
    - I have a MAJOR crush on Agnieszka Radwanska.
    - I am almost 99.99% convinced that I have some form of OCD. The fact being that when certain things like numbers don't seem to make sense, I find it difficult to process a rational thought until I come down from freak-out mode. Also, odd numbers bug me. There are other reasons but I won't bore you with them.
    - I have been a huge NASCAR fan since about the age of 3 when my dad took me to see Days of Thunder and to The Winston in Charlotte in 1990.
    - When I was 16, I overshot a flip on a trampoline and sprained my neck and it's never been the same since. I can't even headbang anymore!
    - I can't stand the taste or the smell of peanut butter. The only way I can eat or even be near it without getting nauseous is when it's in Reese's cups.

That's a sick twist of fate.

Funny story. When I was really little, I thought "headbaging" was literally banging your head on something, so when Van Halen, or something come on the radio in the car, I'd bang my head against the seat.

That's one embarrassing story from Maple's childhood out of the way.

    • I'm super picky with food. Mostly because I have a very sensitive gag reflex, but also because I'm grossed out by practically everything in existence. lol
    • I'm allergic to nuts, and milk (Although with milk, it's not extreme, and it may actually have been a temporary allergy, if those are possible?)
    • I can find more music I love today than I can in the 80s (in other words, I do not like the vast majority of 80s music)
    • My three instrument loves are the bassoon, tenor saxophone, and oboe. I own and can play all three to some extent, but the bassoon is my main instrument that I have been playing for over seven years. The saxophone and oboe I got more recently, and still need to do some learning.
    • I've been a part of music ensembles for 14 years now. (Band most of that time, but also orchestra in these last couple of years).
    • Woodwind/Brass instruments are my favorite instruments altogether. I love playing them, I love hearing them in music, and I love studying their history. (My username is the name of an ancient Greek woodwind instrument, by the way).
    • I love music history and Western/ancient history in general.
    • Likewise, I love early music, classical music, and Folk music (although I also very much love rock, especially from the 60s/70s)
    • I'm an (agnostic) atheist.
    • I'm a lesbian, and so deep in love I don't think I'll ever be able to get back up.
    • Aside from movies (which has become a rare occasion) just about all I'll watch are cartoons and anime. I don't mean to be closed-minded, but the categories that live-action TV shows nowadays fall into do nothing for me.
    • I love English Bulldogs, and think that they are the cutest and most sweetest dog breed ever.
    • Seasonally/weather-wise I'm the reverse of the majority. I love Autumn/Winter, and hate Spring/Summer. I can even say that Spring makes me depressed.
    • I've broken one bone in my entire life, and that is my middle finger. xD
    • I can't drive, and will most likely never be able to.
    • I don't drink or do drugs, and I see no appeal whatsoever in doing either (and yes, I have tried drinking, I was open-minded.)
    • I find my personality very hard to describe aside from one word: Moody.

Hm... I think that will be enough. lol

YESSSS... So glad I'm not alone!

I loooooveeee wind instruments, and I most certainly love brass/saxophone sections in rock groups. Even though it's way before my time, I've taken it up to find every Brass Rock band from the late 60s/70s that I can possibly find, because I totally love the genre.

I usually have a hard time getting into Ska, but it became an acquired taste from the aforementioned love for brass/saxophone sections. I love Streetlight Manifesto. Although their newest album isn't my favorite... Everything Goes Numb and Somewhere in the Between are two of my favorite albums, and a real joy to own.

I think of Streetlight Manifesto as kind of separate from what most call "Ska". They're something different, and IMO better. They put more focus on making the wind section a real part of the band, much like the Brass Rock groups of the 60s/70s did.

Streetlight Manifesto and Chicago are the only two bands I have seen live, and I'm very glad it is them two I got to see. =)

Might as well include some more things about myself.

    - Until just recently, I've discovered that I have been categorized with atypical autism. I've understood that I have had problems about myself in the past, but until reading a medical document from eight years ago about what life for me was like at a young age of about 9 or 10, I got heavily upset. I have forgotten some events in my childhood, some for the better and the high majority of my problems, if not at least 90% of them have gone.
    - I'm a very nice person to those I know, especially my friends and family, but the same can't be said to those I don't know. Especially if they are hostile.
    - I've been playing video games since the age of two, I received my father's PS1 with about 30 pirated games, although some were purchased. It's easy to say that I'm more of a gamer than almost anything else, but I also love movies as well.
    - I'm a Whovian (Became one sometime two years ago. 10th Doctor is my favorite)
    - I like weapons, especially blades. I'm also fascinated by guns as well, to the point that I want to join a gun-club after school.
    - I have excellent eyesight, even though I sometimes cant seem to find that thing that is literally staring me in the face.
    - My imagination is enormous, from designing weaponry in my head, creating entire cities and characters to the point where I could possibly make a franchise for television, film or gaming. Some of these ideas I used to turn into Roleplays for EP, and some of them that i have created is something I'm quite proud of.
-Despite having no training other than Nerf Guns, I'm a good marksman.
    - My biggest fear is failure, and I will become extremely upset if I failed in...let's say...my final exams.
    - My childhood, despite most of it being fantastic, was sometimes messed up. I don't feel comfortable explaining it on this thread, PM me if you want to know more.
    - I was heavily bullied for being different throughout Primary School until 3rd Grade...not going any further due to the sheer beatdown I delivered on that day.
-I'm straight and I have been in a relationship for over a year now with my girlfriend (Sorry, ladies :p)
    - After schooling, I wish to become an Animator for Pixar or Valve (Although I'm happy with whatever gaming company). My secondary career choice is essentially a Police Sniper or a Federal Officer or Agent in the Australian Federal Police.
    - I'm a RELIGIOUS Fallout fan. I've finished New Vegas at least 12 times with different characters, and Fallout 3 about 10 times. I know the Mojave and Capital Wasteland like the back of my hand, and yet the games still surprises me when it shows me stuff that I never knew existed despite me easily putting in an estimated 3 months compiled amount of hours in both of the games. Fallout Equestira is also fantastic for me also. I'm also in a buttload of other fandoms, such as Mass Effect and Gran Turismo, but none of them even hold a candle to the my favorite games of all time.

I just noticed this point, I also often end up scrambling numbers when reading them aloud. 12,736 might come out as: Twelve thousand, seven hundred and sixty-three. It's most often the last two digits of a number, but if I actually have to work with the aforementioned number, I'll end up using it correctly. This is particularly problematic when I have to read out sets of SKUs (store keeping units; 6 digits product codes) to my employees.

Yeah, it's almost always the last two numbers for me as well. Sometimes I'll screw up double, though, if I'm dealing with an amount larger than $99 - I might say/think "twelve sixty-four, sixty-five" when I see $1,246.56. Really annoying, but at least I end up actually using the right number. It's like my motor skills align with what I see, but the language center in my brain doesn't agree.

Few more things to append to my original list, since I'm here:

-I've always had an extensive imagination, and I'm pretty heavy into world-building as a result. Of course, this mainly means stealing aspects from all the things I enjoy and making my own sort of amalgamated narrative out of it; back in high school, I wrote my own novel (broke just above 200 pages) which essentially put aspects of Star Fox, Star Wars, Final Fantasy, NGE and even a little bit of Sonic into a blender. Looking back on it, it sucked immensely, but I still employ such imagination every now and then.

--As a subpoint to the world-building thing, I also delved quite deeply into the world of constructed languages at one point. If someone needed me to make an in-depth language from scratch, complete with its own grammar and syntax conventions, writing system etc., I could probably produce a more-or-less complete conlang in under a month.

-Sometimes I'll involuntarily grab and cuddle my Pinkie and Twilight plushies while I'm asleep, but usually only when it's pretty cold in my room (I rarely ever wake up holding them when it's decidedly warm).

-I go "pony hunting" with my little sister, who's also a (slightly less hardcore than me) brony, on a fairly regular basis. We'll plunder places like Target, Walmart, Spencer's Gifts and Hot Topic for whatever pony merch we can find. They're always expensive outings, between all the merch and the dining out, but it's worth it.

-I get easily irritated with other people in public. Hate other drivers, hate when people stand/wander around in a way that blocks my path, hate loud and obnoxious people, hate people who let their brats run up and down the aisles at stores...yeah, not a fan of this superorganism called "people".

Growing up, most of my friends were wild and domestic animals, and I picked up quite a few behaviors from them.
Depending on my mood, I have been known to growl, hiss, roar, chirp, chatter, bark, or snarl.

A lot of my longer posts and generally any long texts I write are done out of order. That is, I'll have written the various sentences that make them up in an order that is different from that which they appear in. Apparently, that's a sign of disjointed thinking.

    - I pretend not to see people I know from far away (eve if I like them), because saying "Hi!" makes me ridiculously nervous.
    - I love to jump into the underdog wagon. Even if I don´t agree, I´ll enter an argument on the side of whoever is losing.
My favorite band is Alkaline Trio. It will always be. The best lyrics in the world are in their songs. Even though the first time I heard them, I also thought it was an average punk rock band.
    - Having conversations is my favorite hobby. Even with strangers. I like conversations so much, I even offer people to write a song about their love stories, just to give them a motivation to share stories with me. I do enjoy writing the songs, but my motive is mainly just to engage in real emotional conversation.
    - I don´t kill creatures, so it grosses me out when a roach enters my home, because I don´t like them, yet I have to chase them around the house to take them out, because I can´t bring myself to kill them.
    - I should be working right now.
    - I write fake journals. I´ll buy a notebook, write on it as if I were another person and it was my journal, and then "lose" it anywhere.

I can actually tickle myself. Pretty much just on my belly and feet though. I didn't find out until recently that most people can't!
