Warning: Some 'naughty' words
This would fit perfectly in a dystopian film or game like Fallout.
It's good. I like this version in terms of dystopian theme.
So I've been watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D recently and well... Spoiler: spoiler I just want to kick ward in the balls so badly. In other news Skye is frickin awesome.
On the subject of Crisps, I just found out that the US equivalent to Walkers Crisps is called "Lays". Another interesting fact from your good ol' pal DerDer.
So, you're saying that Walkers Crisps are are greasy, nasty, and come out of the bag mostly broken? Also, they're called "potato chips."
Walkers' are okay. They are greasy, but they taste all right. And I think they're only called Chips in American English. Chips here are those cuts of potato you'd call "Fries"
I was talking to some American friends of mine over Skype and most said that british chocolate and walkers were alot better than the american counterparts. I believe it was because the chocolate was a lot sweeter and generally nicer.
Oh, I've heard quite a few Americans say British Chocolate's sweeter too. Don't know whether it's the same with our other snacks though. Makes me curious as to what US chocolate tastes like.
I'd wager it's because British snacks and chocolates use sugar, as opposed to high-fructose corn syrup.
Technically, as they were invented in New York, the American word is correct. - - Auto Merge - - This is entirely true. The most popular chocolate in America, Hershey's, tastes absolutely godawful. - - Auto Merge - - We don't use HFCS in chocolate. - - Auto Merge - - The "Big Three:" -M&M's/Mars - Very good. Not as sweet as British chocolate, but much creamier. -Hershey - Waxy and almost flavorless, with a strong chemical aftertaste. -Nestle - Similar to British chocolate. Very sweet, but not as creamy as Mars.
I'm reading a review which says that US dairy milk bars have 5.79 sugar per 10 grams, more than the UK version, which has 5.67 per 10 grams. So the US dairy milk has more sugar than the UK. It also says the UK bar is larger, contains less calories, less carbs, but has a little more fat. Anyway, the point is US Dairy milk bar has more sugar, but is still less sweet. - - Auto Merge - - Aye, but the name's already taken.
I found out that the main difference between American Chocolate and English Chocolate is, England typically adds more dairy products to stretch out their chocolate production, producing a milkier smooth chocolate. In American, their add more vegetable oils rather than the dairy producing a greasier chocolate that leaves a after taste, (much cheaper than using dairy) Americans are used to it but are starting to learn about better chocolate.. Also Europeans are used to darker chocolates.
That's mainly Hershey and Palmer. Russell Stover and Whitman's make amazing chocolate, comparable to candy from Switzerland or Belgium.
its the start of may. So that means its only 10 days till the grande finale of Eurovision. Also lets take a moment for this, when Ukraine was not on the brink of civil war and had people singing in silver and gold boy scout uniforms and a disco ball fancy dress:
Augh! It's too European! Deploy countermeasures! That's much better.
