[/OOC] THE SECOND FOURTH OF THE TWELFTH - 203rd DECADE ( 12/4/2022 ) PA System - "All prisoners are to report to their Cell Block for random inspections. Anypony found with contraband will be punished at the Warden's discretion." The message repeats several times before ceasing, and the guards were all at their assigned posts, watching as the prisoners, who had just finished their two hours of free time were grudgingly returning to their cells. More were assigned to searching every few cells, going through each of their things looking for anything that wasn't allowed. Each cell had a one in five chance in being searched on Random Inspection Day, and sadly for Vulcan Eruption and Blackheart, cellmates of Block B52, theirs was chosen today. Two guards, one being a unicorn, and the other a pegasus, arrived before them and began going through their things in search of anything. The two prisoners were not allowed into their cell, as per regulations. Down in Block Y, commonly referred to as Solitary C, Adrian was visited by Doctor Angel Blackmare, his psychologist, on a surprise visit. She sat down in the room, in a chair she had brought along with her. His room was padded, but had a bed, pillow, and a separate room for his... 'daily business'. She had a pencil and clipboard, looking over it a bit as she waited for him to greet her. Among the guards listed for search duty was Starnsy Warnsy, assigned to Block A23. The cell belonged to a group of two; an earth pony named Aurora Borealis, and a unicorn named Frost Fever. Both of them were waiting outside of the cell, as they were ordered, waiting for Starnsy to begin the inspection. In the Warden's Office, a black and yellow pegasus and a grey unicorn were watching over the security feeds they were getting from known threats, watching for anything suspicious. Pegasus - "...sir, explain why Security isn't handling these feeds for us." Unicorn - "Because I said so. Now hush. I'm busy." Pegasus - "Reading faces again, sir?" There was no response, and the silence held out for a while.
Starnsy began to search through Aurora and Frost's cell. She made sure go over everything finely, not taking any chances. "You two had better hope I don't find anything in here." After she had combed everything over twice or so, she popped her neck and sighed. "Either you two are masters of deception or my eyes are terrible. You're good, all clean." Starnsy trotted off, allowing the other prison guard to attend to them, she had rounds to do and more cells to go over.
Vulcan sat down outside outside of the wall, hoof-cuffed to prevent movement as he sat there, dressed almost in a old uniform that almost resembled rags that was formerly orange, now being almost as black as the obsidian night. His mask that covered the bottom half of his face as it made some audible breaths if one were to stand nearby a distance of five meters away. It was very unsettling and it made the enormous earth pony all the more intimidating. "All clear" said the guard inspecting his room. "Let's move down..." Once done, the guards lifted him up and took him inside of the cell. The guards knew that the mask he wore was keeping him alive. They had never seen him without it. It was surprising that he was not in solitary confinement and that he had to share a cell. He would never leave the facility that now called him home.
It was the same routine. A new psychologist, a new month. Same routine. Like clock-work. So far, Adrian had been responsible for the suicides of eight highly trained psychologists. But this was new. Before, there were only male staff trying to chip away at him, though rather unsuccessfully. Right now, his constraints were on: simple straight-jacket and a muzzle over his mouth, and he was constrained to a lift, leather straps tightened around his chest, legs, and neck. He sniffed the air with his hypersensitive nose, and spoke in his silky smooth voice with the German accent that tantalized the mind; "Mmmm... smells like someone's a-coming. How about a nice meal? I am a good cook...." He chuckled and grinned his dark grin under the mouth constraint. His soul-piercing, sharp green eyes, the ones that could make a man cry and his most distinguishing feature, dilated, but the man was able to control his own pupils. He mocked eagerness for the search. More mind games. Yet only Adrian knew that something would be going on soon. First, though, he would take his time, and take a look at his new... psychiatrist. A couple men had entered his room, one holding a rifle, the other there specifically to search. They were quiet, and Adrian could smell immense fear. The one with the gun looked at him, and Adrian successfully locked eyes with him. The guard shook nearly uncontrollably, and when the other was finished, collapsed. Fainted. All in fear from the eyes of this renown demon. He was very tall, but other than that, not very imposing, rather a bit thin. But he didn't need much strength. He was plenty physically capable, not quite like Vulcan, but fairly strong and tough, but he used his intellect, his eyes, other aspects than his physical capability to preform his... needs. The on guard dragged the other out of the room with the gun still pointed at Adrian. He smiled... "Hope to see you again soon, gentlemen..." And this wasn't even his turn for search day. He had figured out the system a long time ago. This merely meant that his "friend", Dr. Blackmare. He could smell her perfume.
As the guards tore through what few belongings he was allowed to have, Blackheart found himself once again glaring at his cellmate. The giant dirt pony had wondered why he was being made to share a cell, but Blackheart was not as stupid as he was. He knew very well that Vulcan had been put in with him because the guards were hoping that one of them would kill the other. Shaking his head in annoyance, he turned his attention back to the guards. "Are you fools done yet? I was in the middle of a fascinating book about King Sombra when you decided to disturb me. Perhaps you think I have the good King himself hiding under my cot?"
Starnsy checked her routine schedule again. She had already taken care of her A block inspections. It was time to move on to B block and see how the rest of the guards were coming along. Her ears perked as she listened carefully to the few conversations going on around her. She couldn't help but wonder that things were a bit... Dull, to say the least. She sighed and trotted about, watching the inspections taking place. Her stomach rumbled and she remembered that she hadn't eaten breakfast. 'I hope this'll be over soon, I need to get some food in me.'
Guard B - "Jus' a sec, you two." Guard C - "Don't even think about it, Mythas. You know the rules against Planting." The guard growls a bit, his partner more than aware of his shenanigans. Guard C - "You two are either clean, or clever with hiding things. Remain in your cell until ordered otherwise." He unbinds Vulcan and Blackheart. Dr. Blackmare waited for the others to leave before speaking. Angel - "...I've been warned about your... 'history', Mr. Vogelscheuche. Move, and you'll be filled with enough electricity to take down a rhino and an elephant in a single go." One of the Block Captain's noticed Starnsy wandering, and whispered something to his assistant, who nods and leaves. Block Captain - "Lost again, Private?" He slowly approaches. Pegasus - "...you think it was smart, assigning that mare to the psychopath?" Unicorn - "You forget that I'm the one who gave you a second chance, Mr. Charge." Pegasus - "And you call that your star achievement?" The two chuckle. Unicorn - "Not even close to it, but it's pretty far up there."
"Unless someone gave me a wrong schedule, no. That or I'm hallucinating from lack of nourishment." Starnsy shrugged. "Either way, I'm here. Need anything done? I've finished up with A Block inspections, and I'm just doing rounds now."
Block Captain - "If you haven't eaten yet, get to the cafeterium. Sheesh, I would have expected you to follow your basic instincts..." He returns back to his own inspections. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
If one could see underneath his mask, Vulcan could have been laughing to himself as the binds that held him were undone. There was no need to eat, so all he did was sit there in silence until he was to be spoken to.
Grey stood to the side, awaiting for the inspection. He was given some magazines the other day, they had nothing naughty in them and they sure as heck didn't have any form of tools in them. He enjoyed reading, checking up on whats going on in the outside world, he wanted to be let out as soon as possible. A security mare stopped by his cell, "Hey Grey, doing the usual?" Grey chuckled to himself, "Yeah, just sitting around, doing the usual." "Well, I hope those magazines keep you occupied, because this is not the last time you'll be seeing me." "I know." He replied as the mare trotted away, greeting the other prisoners. She treated them well, but she stayed a distance from them, but not Grey. She treated him like he were her brother, they liked each other, they trusted one another. Her name was Shadow Bliss, she was pretty much the only hope that Grey had of ever getting out. Grey sat to the side, awaiting for the guards to come and check his cell, they knew damn well he had magazines, they would always check them and never found anything suspicious in them.
Blackheart walked back into his cell wordlessly and without expression. As soon as the guards were out of sight, he smiled slightly. The guard had been right about one thing; Blackheart was very good at hiding things. They had completely missed the scalpel that he had stolen on his last trip to the infirmary, and had stashed inside a crack in the wall. He couldn't really blame them though. The dust that he had pressed into the crack to cover the weapon matched the mortar perfectly. If he had not known it was there, even he wouldn't have been able to find it. Chuckling to himself, he went back to reading his book. He didn't need the weapon... yet.
The tall pony smirked under his muzzle as once again his room was entered. This time, it was one of the higher ranking guards. He had a short blonde mane and tail, and dark grey hair, as well as blue eyes to compliment the color of his uniform and cap. He spoke in his masculine and rough baritone voice. “Evening Dr. I assume everything is well?” The tall pony spoke in his silky smooth bass voice, very much complimenting the other male’s voice. “Quite. I have a message I’d like you to deliver Mr. Galtan: ‘The plan will occur soon. First I will study the new subject those who believe that they run this place have sent my direction. I will be seeing you soon. Ciao.’ Also as my message implies, I would like to see him soon. Do see if you can pull a few strings, won’t you Mr. Matthews?” Barney Matthews nodded. “Sure thing, Professor.” The guard stood for a moment, and Adrian waited as well, eager to meet this new subject to study. "So what do you want done, Professor?" "I want to have word with my bishop, and I want to meet my rook and knight after that..." Adrian, here, was referring to Galtan as his bishop and one of his most valuable pieces, Vulcan, his rook, and Blackmare, his knight. He had designated chess pieces to both inmates he liked and those who would oppose him. He was the black king, and his enemy was the warden, the white king. And now the white king sent in a brand new white pawn towards him, but Adrian had other plans. He was a very influential character, and he needed a black queen...
The guards went through everything in the cell, nothing. Grey went back into his cell as they locked it up, Shadow Bliss in the cell with him so the two could play some board games. It was weird having someponies trust in prison, but none-the-less, Grey enjoyed it. They played Risk: 3000, then Uno, then a select few others. Grey had a bad feeling though, not about the mare, but something in this prison wasn't right, the air seemed toxic to him. But he shrugged it off, continuing the game.
The guards locked up the door to Vulcan and Blackheart's cell, heading down to the next one for inspection. Angel glares at Barney. Angel - "Matthews! Not a step further!" Unicorn - "...the Council is meeting tonight, to further discuss what to do with him." Pegasus - "I had a feeling; he's rambling again." Unicorn - "What is it this time?" Pegasus - "He's reciting Pi, sir. Last time I watched the feeds, he was at the 728th digit." Unicorn - "Doesn't surprise me." Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
Starnsy rolled her eyes and stopped herself from saying a smart comment to the block captain. "Just putting my work first, sir." With that, she trotted off to the cafeterium to grab something to munch on before she started her rounds.
Barney glared at the psychologist, but Adrian's demonic, unblinking star and equally disturbing smile assured him that the unicorn was going to get what was coming to her. He very much didn't like any female authority. "I'm going to leave, but don't tell me what to do in my prison, girl..." With that note, he left, locking the door behind him.
The line for the food was rather short, and brunch today would have consisted of a banana, a bowl of cereal, two toaster pastries, and a blueberry muffin. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
When lunch had occurred, Vulcan stood out from the other ponies by an enormous margin. He was at least two heads taller than any of the other ponies and all muscle, and this and his reputation for surviving five execution trials was enough to make other prisoners fearful of him. However, despite being as large as he was, he was surprisingly intelligent and if needed to be, lethal. Whenever he was outside of his cell, he had to be hoof-cuffed constantly despite Vulcan could have easily snapped the chains in two. He would rather avoid a fight at the moment, he would get plenty of action if talks about an uprising were true.
Agitated, Angel gathered up her things quickly, unlocking the door with her magic, as well as with a rapid movement of a hoof over a spot on the door. It unlocked, and she exitted, slamming the door behind herself and the lock re-engaging. Angel - "Matthews, take one more step, and you'll be in a heap of trouble!" She chases after him. A red warning light started blinking on the video console in the Warden's office. Both stallions looked at each other, unsure what it meant since it had never gone off before. They began scrolling through each of the feeds, hoping to discover the reason before things got worse. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
