Princess Leia is officially a Disney princess, and Darth Vader is a Disney Villain. I am perfectly ok with this.
I see the joke, but I'm talking about moving from one house to another, and lugging all your years of belongings with you in a long, tedious event. Again, it sucks. For multiple reasons.
Just thinking about how some people literally get angry at you for existing...like...if they hate me so much that they tell me to leave them alone cause they are angry...why in the world did they even add me on skype...why not uncontact me and poof problem solved
Why the hell are lawnmowers so short? It's killing my back to walk hunched over when I'm cutting the grass.
It is the nature of human beings to strive to outdo one another, but there eventually comes a point where attaining success in a certain area of life becomes more cumbersome than it's worth. I could be "all that I can be" if I wanted to shed my excess weight and join the Marine Corps - I am a competent marksman, I could follow orders down to the letter, and I think I could ultimately make for one of the more competent soldiers if that were something I truly wanted in life. But I really don't. Why should I want that? Me being content with my life just the way it is has zero bearing on how the rest of society will function, so what real need is there to place a "value" on human life? Just because some people are more driven to get in "front" doesn't give them any more intrinsic value than anyone else, just perceived value from those who need their services. And once that service becomes unneeded, their value just drops right back to zero anyway, so there's really no point.
I'm getting really tired of hearing people whine about being broke when they have money for cigarettes and booze.
I wasn't saying that "you'll always succeed if you try really hard". Life's a struggle, and you won't always win. I was simply saying that folks should at least try their damned best. What you said to me is that you have no ambition whatsoever. Thinking like that assures a zero percent chance of succeeding in anything, no matter how marginal. I'm not saying "reach for the stars", or something stupid like that. But Jesus, dude, have a little motivation. While you sit back and complain, someone's likely already climbing above you, getting himself into a position where HE can make at least a slight difference. As for your thoughts on the "elite", that's a bunch of coffee shop revolutionary anti status quo B.S. Not everyone had power handed to them by their wealthy daddy. Quite a few people had to work for that. So what if you're the little guy? It only takes the will of one person to make sh*t happen. Challenge the status quo and rise up, man! You're a brony, so you're already giving the status quo a good fight. Now it's your chance to really get it on the ropes! Success, no matter how small, is possible. However, you seem pretty content as is, so as long as you're happy, that's all that matters.
I have a few things that are annoying me: The belief that somehow all Welfare recipients are the little drekker Fox news are parading around and not severely mentally unstable or physically hindered. The argument that a Libertarian is solely a far-right fox news conduit that strives to live in a plutocracy (Read some Chomsky) I get sick of people who are in favor of cutting welfare but support Oil and Farm Subsides. That both sides of the political spectrum love to point out the horrors of the opponent even if they're idols did the exact same thing (Reagan and Obama love gun control) The demonization of poverty and the idea that the country was better under fiscal conservatives. Benghazi, the idea that 4 american officials are more of a cause for impeachment this decade then 3,000 civilians dead on our soil the last decade. People who would rather shoot down other through sad and pointless trolling then take to the streets and stand for what they believe in. and finally, the idea that you can't respect someone you disagree with.
Squeeing to the max right now because I just got the mail today!!! Spoiler: Check out what I ordered!!!
LARPing is hard when there's a "headshots don't count rule", but you take headshots like a champ and just wanna be fair.
Don't be. You might have to pay a little but for the work that is done, it's worth it. With shipping and all, Rockette was right at $80. I'm usually really finicky about dropping cash like that on something but I'm glad I did it.
