In the main site section, all times are correct. However, on the right hand side all times shown are... well, wrong.
I assume the time in the middle of the site is correct on GMT+1 [BST], however on the right I'm shown a difference of GMT-5.

Something to look at, sometime? Which time is another matter though. I'll leave it to the capable staff.

The site time is actually based on what you have it set to on your profile. Is it set correctly?

My time is correct, as reflected in the main portion of the site. I suspect the side bar widget is not inheriting displayed times from the same location however.

Could be. We'll look into it.

Bounty What theme, and where are you looking exactly? You mention sidebar, are you referring to the one on the forum index? If you recently changed your timezone, it will not reflect immediately on the sidebar because it is cached. It will re-update itself every 20 minutes or so. Perhaps this is what you are seeing. They shouldmatch up though.

My time has been set since the dawn of... the aforementioned.
I'm on the winter theme, and yes I mean the "new threads" section.

Having checked again this morning, it is instead at a difference of -1 as opposed to -5 it was last night.
I suspect this is daylight savings detection not kicked in?

The screenshots I posted show that the times do indeed match under I guess what I'll call "normal circumstances". So I literally have no idea why you are seeing this. I can't recreate the problem nor have I ever seen this happen before. What browser are you using? If there are any other vBulletin powered forums that you go to, could you try them as well?

Well for now, just gonna have to deal with it I guess. If anyone else has this issue I hope they will post here. I'm not really going to pursue any fix unless I feel something actually is wrong with the system. When only one person has an obscure problem there's a good chance it's on their end. Apologies that I can't really help much further than this for now.

I used to have this problem on Firefox, logging in and out fixed it there. Can't reproduce it, and it's never happened to me on my current browser (Opera). Try out a few different browsers I'd say, see if the problem stays.

It's because you have Daylight Savings (Or whatever it's called for you) checked off (Or maybe on) in your settings.

Be sure to set DST correction to on. That'll accelerate the clock an hour. And bam. Home free. You win. It worked for me at least, as I had the same issue.

If you have it to automatically detect, it could fluctuate for some stupid reason, because vBulletin is dumb sometimes.

No, the sidebar should match the rest of the board no matter what your settings are.

I had the exact same problem, and doing that fixed it for me. Could just be that something else is wrong with it.
