Season Four introduced several new locations like Manehatten and Rainbow Falls, and with Twilight's new duties as the Princess of Friendship, I'm expecting to see even more new locations in Season Five as she works to "spread the magic of friendship across Equestria." I'm also hoping for more 'History of Equestria' episodes, hopefully expanding the back story for Luna and Celestia.
Ditto, the new locations kept a lot of my interest this season. Would be great to see some of them again along with even newer ones.
Manehattan isn't a new location it was seen in Season One and mentioned twice in Season Three by Babs Seed in the episodes One Bad Apple and Apple Family Reunion so yeah there you go.
We had heard about it but never actually SEEN it so it WAS new. OT: I'd really like to learn more about Discord's past.

Forgot about that one. Still, a brief flashback of the city a decade earlier is hardly a decent glimpse of Manehatten.

So I heard a few things said from SDCC, and a lot of the answers were "maybe", which has me wondering about a few things. Who (maybe Chrysalis, Maud) and what (Twilight's Library?) will come back? What will they do with the 100th episode? Will there be anything mind-blowing (CMC earning cutie marks, maybe a relationship introduced)? Haha, I love the hype between seasons, always a lot of fun.
I think it'll last for a long time. It's hard to guess if a show will reach double-digit seasons, but this obviously has attracted a huge fanbase, and it's a pretty special show out there given how many lives it's impacted. And the writers look like they're having a lot of fun with it, so I think it'll be around for a long time.
