for me...: the River Of Styx for a journey to Tartarus Atlanta for reason on its own Icarus as the first pegasus and the Christian Tree of Knowledge for Applejack
Half-pony hybrids, like Hippogriffs and Kirins. Mostly to see how the shippers react. Also, the Kraken. And Cthulhu.
Take notes, Hasbro!~ 1. Rainbow Dash actually DOES turn into a griffon, just to see what she'll look like~ 2. More Doctor Whooves (no, not short screen time! I mean like in It Ain't Easy Being Breezy, duh!), though I may legitimately scream next time I see him in those 3D glasses >x>" *3. And why not Hasbro look up some random OCs (not the OP alicorn ones from really new people) and put them in the background? I mean like moderate to really good OCs probably walking behind the Mane 6, both human for EqG2 and pony for S5. I don't really expect them to have any larger roles (because that's Hasbro), but it would be awesome if they could! Though I do expect some of them to talk in a voice we'll all be disappointed by. -_- 4. All (or just one if the writers are that lazy) those mini cliffhangers from S4 get answered. Yknow, Flutterbat-fangs are back, the Shadow Pony, all that jazz. 5. Last but totes not least, more changelings! I've been a science lover since I was young, and those 'lings seem so interesting, I just HAVE to learn more about them! At least try to show somepony reading a book about changelings- oh, maybe the 6 or some other group go out and try to study changelings when they suddenly save an injured one! The 'ling then starts to think on his own and become good and split for the Hive! And, and then that 'ling gets some more 'lings to become good then they have to battle the Hive and the Queen then the 6 join or something and some epic stuff and stuff that's epic and...*rambles on* *get me and some EP people in there!!!
Kirin aren't half-pony, or at all pony for that matter. They're just called "Japanese unicorns" because they look vaguely like unicorns. Hippogriffs, however, would be great.
You're half-right. In many stories, and according to general MLP fanon, Kirins are Dragon/Equine hybrids. Mythology is a funny thing, isn't it? Also, hippogriffs would be great. They'd also be plausible in the MLP universe, considering the fact that Ponies and Griffons seem to be on generally friendly terms.
No, it isn't, and spreading misinformation about it even less so. We're talking about the show adapting ancient mythology - the fanon doesn't matter for beans, and I'd like for you to cite for me any one of those stories, because they all sound like modern revisionary buffalo poop to me. The only animal that has ever been equated to the qilin is the giraffe, to the point that Korea and Japan use their approximations of the word (Japan's being kirin) to refer both to the mythological creature and to the real giraffe. Before I continue, I must point out that the original Chinese qilin (from where I am sure you're getting this "dragon-horse" thing from) and the Japanese kirin are very different from each other, as thousands of years have passed since Japan adopted the creature from China's mythology. The Japanese kirin ("Japanese unicorn") is much like a deer. It can be given dragon-like traits - predominantly scales - but it can also be given an ox's tail and giant reindeer antlers. The Chinese qilin looks very similar to their dragons: like a big liony-dog-thing. Although it is sometimes shown with a horse's body, it is always given cloven hooves - cow hooves - not horse hooves. It also has floaty facial hair and antlers, and generally has bits and pieces of any manner of creatures. Now wait a minute: Doesn't that sound like someone we know? Wait, remind me what Discord's race is again? "Draconequus"? Doesn't that literally mean "dragon-horse"? So now I've got you in a Catch-22: if you insist that a kirin is a dragon-horse hybrid, than we've already got a kirin. And if you back down from it, I've still demonstrated that Discord fits the bill for a qilin anyway.
In the MLP fandom, a Kirin is a pony/dragon hybrid, and there's nothing that will change that fact. Deal with it.
>using fandom as fact Who cares about what the fandom establishes? Kirin literally is the Japanese word for giraffe. I'd like to keep as much of the fandom out of the show as possible imo.
Ulysses, just to see how he explains the "build a giant horse and hide inside it" tactic to princess Celestia
Deer, they are mythical Or some kind of gentle giant style creature. Like maybe they go to cliche land and Fluttershy gets all excited and scared because giant turtle. I dunno. I think that would be kinda neat. Or maybe a Ziz, I doubt that would happen though. I bet Luna would own a Ziz as a pet like Celestia does with a Phoenix.
