My mum is a dab hand at knitting and has been working for a few weeks now making jumpers. Because she likes to, I assume. And who can blame her, those jumpers are pretty sweet. Plus, who else could make a kick-ass woolly Dumbledore? This isn't it but it's almost as cool It's the books she has sitting around here. I mean...I, just... They're on how to make knitted items for your dogs. You know, the four-legged creatures covered in fur that keeps them warm, protected and get's thicker during the winter months. One of the many animals I can think of that would not benefit from being covered in a thick layer of brightly coloured material that came from another animals coat. You are doubling the amount of animal coat here. Double! There's only a few animals that would be happy with such developments; - Cats because they like warm and soft things. - Bald Eagles because it could cover that bald spot they all have - Pandas because if they don't have babies to give them cute appeal, they need something else. Plus, cages are cold. - Primates because they can totally rock that look, yo! Everything else will try and wriggle free. I've seen my dog do it over and over. She doesn't like jumpers or even her harness. She'll roll around like her brain forgot that dogs don't twist all the way around in the middle, looking to grab hold and pull if she can. If she can't, she'll just whine and complain and bark and stare. Oh. Oh the stare. That look of downtrodden betrayal. It just says "For the Love of All that's Holy, take this stuff off". The wide-eyes, the constant eyes hoping to lock onto yours just to convey the message of their confusion. They have a coat, why do they have another one? What is this thing on their head? They can't eat it and you won't let them play with it so what is it for? They love you too much to be angry, they're just disappointed. Don't get me started on the dog costumes... The only time I will concede that a dog needs an extra coat is in winter and it's a short haired dog. They can have a jumper if they so wish. Otherwise, give them to the monkeys! See? Clothing on animals is horrible; why would anyone subject them to such things!? They've already got one coat to wear. Dx On another note, for those who haven't noticed yet, I have left the staff as of a while ago. 'Twas fun while it lasted, but obviously not everything lasts forever.
I might be the only one who would find a corgi in a cardigan even more giggle-worthy... There is actually a breed of dog called the Cardigan Corgi (not to be confused with the Pembroke Corgi... The Queen's favoured pooch)
