There's a reason it's boring to most members. Canterlot isn't a forum. It's a founding members club masquerading as a forum. Unless you're one of about ten people on staff or their close hangers-on, Canterlot offers nothing to you. They do not attempt to welcome in new members or encourage activity. They stay amongst themselves and you are on your own, unless you're lucky enough to find someone in the same boat. The fact that their front page claims over 9,000 registered members but they usually have fewer than fifteen online at any given time should show you what that does to member turnaround. If you're not on it, don't bother. It's not that good.
I might add here that they jump to wild conclusions that your harassing artists there when you're simply trying to help them get new customers by making suggestions. That unjustifiable act alone drove me away from it. Besides not much happens there besides RP's which they've built themselves around. So no it's not a forum, it's a roleplay site.
