well, it's not bad to feel sad about that, they just hate cause they simply don't like it, what's important is that you had the guts to show this, haters gonna hate

You really like a television show. [nothing wrong]

You like it to the point you might even be a little obsessed by it.
But you have good reasons for this, since the show reminds you of morals that are essential for human society, yet forgotten by most.
Getting a little obsessed with something that stirs your inner sense of justice and kindness in a society full of intolerance and hate is very understandable, so [nothing wrong]

You can do a school presentation about anything you want, so you decide to do it about this show you really like. [nothing wrong]

In this presentation you mention people who watch this show are being discriminated and judged, because the show was originally aimed at young girls. This is true. [nothing wrong]

In contrast to all these haters, YOU are not offending or judging anyone, and thus contributing to the downwards circle of intolerance and fear that is society. You are just trying to explain to the world why you like a cartoon that was originally made for little girls, and why other people might want to check it out, too.
    [nothing wrong]

You sir, have done nothing wrong. But you probably already know that. Don't feel bad.
And by the way, the presentation was good.

I'd say the best thing to do on the video would be to not go into debates with those posting non-constructive commentary, because you'd risk getting more people coming to rant (since it seems like the video got linked elsewhere) and I do have the feeling most of the commenters currently ranting aren't going to change their opinion in any way. I do think Manehattenite made a good point though when it comes to mentioning discrimination in relation to a show.

I don't understand why do you care so much about YouTube comments. it's not like they have ever been constructive.
Idk, but going to computer engineering collage and 100% of people there are in internet, as well as youtube. They know I'm brony, even tomorrow I'm going to collage with my "Dumb Fabric" t-shirt (today got it in mail). people know I'm brony, and well, they don't give me one bit of trouble about it. they have their oppinient about the show, aether good or bad. not everyone will or should like the show. people that are not bronies.. well I just don't talk about ponies with them, and they don't talk about ponies with me, if they don't want to, I don't see point to forcing them.
I don't understand if it's due to my overall attitude irl (mostly same as online), fact that people know I like cartoons, or something third. all I know is that lot of people from collage are friends with me, they know that i'm brony weather they like mlp or not, and they don't look me just as brony, but who I am overall.
(even so, when I tell them I'm Yeti on fer2.net (collage forum) they instantly recodnise me, and they are glad to meet someone that's known on that forum (and there I also have spike avatar, I've opened mlp:fim topic there, and have pony pictures (among others) in my profile album))

Internet is the worst source of feedback ever. Believe me. Unless you're an visual artist, and have a premium account on deviantart. There you can request serious critique, which is a bit better than just feedback. Another thing i'd like to address is that youtube used to be the nicest community ever. Well, at least before 2009/2010...

I really respect that you took the time and were brave enough to do something like this but as far as the comments go try to ignore them being able to hide behind a user name turns people into *squee!*s on the internet.

To be honest, it wasn't really the best of presentations. But knowing you, and knowing presentations and things like this in general, I'd have to say you've done really well. I'm proud of you. :D

All these fools that surround us on the internet are too closed-minded to try and view themselves in another's shoes. It makes me a bit sad, until I stop caring about them. :33

well done on the presentation, It takes something to stand up in front of your class and talk about ponies, as awesome as ponies are!

Woulda just died up there if it were me, Great job with racking up the courage to do it! And its so unfortunate that its getting so much hate... Its terrible that people can't be more respectful of others, especially when it comes to something like, I don't know, say, enjoying a show...

Man I wouldn't have the guts to do that. I'm still uncomfortable telling my friends I've known for almost 10 years, not to mention giving a presentation to a bunch of random people who constantly misjudge.

I have shared secrets here and to IRL bronies that not even my best friends know, this fandom is amazing.

Setzertrancer, what was that song at the very end of the video? the one that used audio samples from "A Dog and Pony Show."

I thought the presentation was full of win. The bit with the shirt at the end was my favorite. And all the references you made during the presentation.

    Thank you so much!

Also, I like how the camera panned accross the audience so you could see their derp-struck faces. Are you sure they all didn't like it? I thought I heard a cheer.

Youtube is not to be trusted in matters involving taste.

I've read some comments and yeah.. these guys are pathetic.
They don't care about anything but making someone else miserable.

It's painfull to see they've still kind of managed to lure you out, and you're going into debate with them :(
So don't feed the trolls maybe? I mean, if that's ok with you...

    No mocking intended, but seriously.

EDIT: Don't even tell them you won't be arguing with them anymore. Just quit, if you haven't already.
