What are the chances again that we'll see Trixie in the show again outside of both Equestria Girls and the upcoming Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks, I mean I like that she is in both movies but i'm still curious about this regardless let me know your thoughts?
Pretty low. The Alicorn Amulet arc left such a huge impact on everyone that people just aren't interested in "regular" Trixie anymore.
The problem with Trixie is that Twilight out-leveled her pretty hard, so unless she comes back with a big upgrade that might be the last we see of her.
See? Exactly what I mean. People have this idea of "Trixie as a villain" in their minds, while the reality is "Trixie as hilarious comedy relief". She's Hercule Satan or Gilderoy Lockhart, but everyone sees her as Freeza or Lord Voldemort. And that's precisely why we won't see her again: people reject her as she is as opposed to how they see her in their minds.
Well, I can't see her being the focus of an episode, but I certainly could definitely see her appearing again in a cameo appearance or maybe even a minor speaking role as an entertainer in the background. I agree that she has been given a certain image that contradicts what she really is and would cause a generally bad reception if she were to return as anything but a villain... I think there is some opportunity for good comic relief due to twilight being a princess now. But I don't think that's going to happen.
Considering that the theme of Season 5 is going to be spreading friendship across Equestria, I'd put pretty good odds on the Mane Six seeing Trixie in their travels. She is a pretty popular character, after all. Besides, while the comics are not canon, they are still approved by Hasbro and DHX, and they show that Trixie has changed for the better. That said, she was never evil to begin with. She started out as a boastful showmare who got humiliated by Twilight. With her reputation and livelihood destroyed, she tried to get revenge, and ended up getting corrupted by the Alicorn Amulet. Most, if not all, of her "evil" deeds in "Magic Duel" were a result of dark magic corruption. When the Alicorn Amulet was removed, she was remorseful for what she had done.
