i am hoping to see Nightmare Moon again for 2 reasons: 1) Her run was really short. 2) She could have been developed more
Canonically, Nightmare Moon spent less than twenty-four hours in Equestria. After she first appeared, it only took Celestia a few minutes to banish her to the moon. When she reappeared, one thousand years later, it took the Mane Six maybe a few hours to reach the castle and defeat her again. I'll also mention that, canonically, she was imprisoned in the moon, not on the moon as the fandom likes to depict. So, basically, we've already seen all of Nightmare Moon that there was to see.
I'm not sure if Luna's first appearance as Nightmare Moon being only a few minutes has to be taken so literally. The potion showed Twilight what she needed to know (well, more or less), so I'm not sure if we should trust its historical accuracy. At least that's my theory.
I'm betting King Sombra isn't dead or destroyed either, and will indeed make another try at capturing the Crystal Empire, only this time I hope they take their time with him and let him have a personality... a really evil personality.
Lightning Dust... to see if she learned her lesson. Also, Ridley Wolf got through a whole villains post without mentioning Trixie!?
Technically, she's no longer a villain. Hell, she's actually a hero in the comics. Also, in the original script for Wonderbolts Academy, there was a scene that had Lightning Dust still in the Academy as Dash's wingpony.
True, but Trixie was never a villain to begin with. In Boast Busters, she was just a boastful showmare. In Magic Duel, she was angry after being humiliated and having her livelihood destroyed, and wanted to humiliate Twilight like Twilight had humiliated her. It was the Alicorn Amulet that made her go as far as she did.
No, she was corrupted by an evil artifact. When the artifact's influence was removed, she felt bad for what it had made her do. It's kind of like when Rarity was corrupted by the Inspiration Manifestation spell.
Just wanted to rile you up a little, dude. I know she wasn't evil. She just made some (as Rarity would say) boo boos.
And I just wanted to argue about trivial things that have no effect on the real world. Isn't it nice when everybody gets what they want?
One of the antagonists I really wanna see again is Sombra. They could have done so much more with him, especially with the short run he had (a run similar to NNM's), I believe that he would have made the mane 6 run for their money, and then I was mad when they killed him off, some how when I think of him I think of Bane from Batman.
Nightmare moon and Luna is the same person, so the chance that she would help equestria if nightmare moon returned is pretty small.
Sombra was a great villain. I've heard a lot of complaints about how he had almost no dialogue, but that was what made him so effective. He wasn't just a villain, he was a presence, a seemingly unstoppable force of pure evil. He was the first FiM villain that actually seemed dangerous.
Well, out of all the big villains we've seen, the only ones not being reformed or killed are Chrysalis and Tyrek. The later has pretty much served his purpose, I think, but I could definitely see Chrysalis and her changelings return some day. If we include flashbacks, Sombra would be nice, too. It would generally be nice to know more about the Crystal Empire and its history.
i think you are on to something but if Chrysalis returned she would bring a larger army and probably kill Twilight this time
