How does they make her look stupid? Sure, she is clumsy but that doesn't make her stupid.

 

But what has that to do whit the guards?
you said that this tread was about the guards,so i can't bring up the mane six,however you can bring up Derpy.I can't see the logic here,please explain?

They are guarding what amounts to a goddess. It goes without saying that they will end up looking inferior next to her.

 

Guards

Well I was lurking around your thread for a little bit and I saw it got a little off topic.

But I'll put in my 2 cents; I think the guards are there just to look intimidating and handle most of the grunt work. Not to mention awesome

 

Because those who animate is too lazy to animate another guard.

 

To be honest I don't that's the case; when you consider how many other ponies and and animals that have already been used. I mean an animator would only have to give them a quick palette swap and take away their horn/ wings. Maybe it's a lore thing; pegasi are fast and can control the weather and unicorns can use magic:magic:. Perhaps there's just no point for earth ponies as they're not that special or they don't bring anything new to the table

 

Yeah but strength is kind of out matched by magic and flight if you know what I mean.
