"I am not one of those anthropomorphic creatures. I am a CAT. With the legs, and paws and whiskers, and teeth."
"We are all aware of what you are." Pirate Dog wasn't. -Woof.*- *To be honest, I wasn't really paying attention. I just thought she was a cute furry thing. "I would like to add that Ninjakitty is not a true cat. She is a Toon that resembles a cat."
*ninjakitty holds up a finger to say something then stops for a second* "Wait... No I guess that's technically correct. I was a cat before I was a cartoon though." *she throws her paws up in an arc over her head* "Blame magic!"
"Magic?" Don't look at me. Toonification isn't one of my normal spells. I've only done it five or six times, and never on a cat. "How hard is the spell to pull off?" On this plane of existence? Alpha-level magic or greater. Once you cross into the Abstract Plane, it's much easier. In certain areas, where the abstract energy is particularly strong, it happens automatically. Of course, however Toonification happens, the effects are always temporary. I didn't know that permanent transformation from Mundane to Abstract was possible. Unless...
Anyway... It is possible for a Mundane being to become an Abstract being under certain rare circumstances. If a Mundane being spends time an area with a large amount of Abstract energy, they will absorb some of the energy. This usually leads to temporary partial abstraction. However, under rare circumstances, Mundane beings will not undergo abstraction, and will continue to absorb the Abstract energy with no noticeable effects. And that's where things get weird. If an unabstracted Mundane being whose body contains massive levels of abstract energy is mortally wounded by an Abstract being, the energy will preserve the life energy of the Mundane being in the only way it can... permanent total abstraction. "Noids who traffic in the Cool World... are you implying that Ninjakitty was killed by a Toon in the Temple?" I can't say for certain, but it's possible.
"They mystery! The intrigue! What's the end of this story??? I NEED TO KNOW!!!" YOU DO KNOW! "Shhhh... They don't need to know that!"
