What's your favorite type/genre of music, and as a bonus, fave artist in that genre?

I'm way too lazy to check if this thread has already been made, so...yeah.
    Have fun!

Rock, punk and especially metal of nearly ever subgenre (I exclude stuff like metalcore and screamo from my listening). More specficially I like hardcore punk and doom, black, and death metal the most.

The Ramones, Dead Kennedys, Darkthrone, Burzum, Reverend Bizzare, Carcass, Mayhem, Death, Deicide, Sodom, Black Sabbath, Bathory, Venom.

Rock and metal are probably my favourite genres, but honestly it depends on my mood. I love music in general.

I usually listen to either Rock or Metal, but I'll listen to just about anything that sounds good.

I'll try real hard to narrow it down to a few:

Brass Rock (Chicago [before the 80s], Dreams, Brainchild, Blood Sweat & Tears, etc., etc.)
60s/70s Oldies (Cornelius Brothers & Sisters Rose, The Beatles, The Doors, etc.)
70s Soft Rock (Bread, Eagles, America, Jim Croce)
British/Traditional Folk (Gryphon, Steeleye Span, Shirley & Dolly Collins, and for the American modern outlier [more Indie Folk/Pop]: Fleet Foxes)
Classical/Early Music (Debussy, Mozart, Handel, Vivaldi, Gervaise, Tallis, etc.)

I also really like some regular Progressive Rock like early Genesis.

I know some of those are really stretching it, like considering The Doors oldies... But whatever. Lol. You could really narrow this down to saying I mainly listen to 60s/70s music or Classical. Although there are a few modern bands I adore as well, they're isolated incidents. Lol

Depends on my mood. Typically stick to country and alternative rock. Catchy pop is sometimes fine too.

Not sure why it's not on there, but I enjoy country music quite a bit. Nothing beats a good ole country tune in yer pick-er-up truck. Yee-haw. Apples.

Yeah, I d love some good pop, as well as a bit of alternative and dance-y stuff. And all of that can really be brought out by Aviators.

I'd say Rock and Metal are my two faves. I'm open to music in general since I'm not to picky, though there are a few peeves.
