2:18 in the morn. It'd be lovely to have someone new to talk to on Skype right about now, but eh. Anyone awake out there?
Hmm. Trying to watch the Orion Test Flight, but it keeps kicking me out for some reason. Too many people rushing the site, perhaps?
With the hours I've worked this week I could just not go to work tomorrow and still get a full paycheck. If only I loved money less.
Yay. My 200th post on here. You know... I'm not even kidding with what I'm about to say here... I think this is the quickest I've ever got 200 posts on any forum. Is it because I post in all of the new introductions? Probably. But still... I'm pretty sure this is the fastest I've hit 200 posts on any forum I've been on.
- - Auto Merge - - I don't think I've ever gotten 200 posts anywhere. Usually around the first or second post I get bored and quit.
Go for the gold! Sometimes I see members complain that this place doesn't get as much traffic as it used to. What I see is that there's a lot less melodrama (oh, it's still here in part, but I doubt anyone will argue that there's less of it than there was when, say, I joined up) and there's less post-farming, too. Moderators regulate discussions stringently, keeping them civil. I remember days when arguments would get very personal and go on for pages without end, without any civil resolution. People post more thoughtful and open-minded things now, particularly if they've been members for a long time. Maybe that's just my perspective, but even the heated arguments of today often wear me out; I think the longer people stay here the more they become invested in being kind towards other members: you don't crap where you eat, to paraphrase the popular American saying. It's been a real treat to watch this forum mature (and I say this not out of flippancy but genuine sincerity in my appreciation for this site). So, in other words, it's a pleasure to have you here!
I got hit in the face with a soccer ball today. I got a massive nosebleed and a black eye, but my glasses were ok. What happened to you guys?
Well, on a family trip to Japan, I tripped and broke my glasses. So I had to go to a CVS and get new ones. I've had these for two years, and they won't scratch even if I take a rock and scrape it against the lenses. Photochromic lenses are the ones that adjust to light, correct?
Whoosh. I had a super terrible anxiety attack last night. And now I need to get around to writing a final paper today so I can write another final paper tomorrow and another the day after that.
