Actually No I did not prove my argument wrong yes I said the show never stated that the princess are gods which they are not, that that on the other hand has nothing to do with birth. and No earth Ponies cant use magic that is correct but they can have unicorn friends who can use magic and give them temporary wings. if they know how to. By the way thank you for proving your own arrogance. by stating that the princess can't have children because there are no male Alicorns. who said they had to date a Male Alicorn. thats basically saying two races can't date
First: using the argument "They never said it on the show" and then say something that they never said on the show is stupid. Second: They aren't born with those wings so they aren't over powered because thet need someone to cast a spell on them. Third: Can a chicken and a eagle mate and have kids together? They are both birds. It's kind of the same thing with the ponies. They are different species. Let's ignore those twins for now. Even if they could mate their children wouldn't be one of the three races but would rather be a mix between two. But they wouldn't be alicorns.
I'm done with this multiple for reasons one my head hurting two this is going no where three I saw your profile, your still in school I'm 24 out of school I shouldn't even be having this argument you. So I'm walking away neither one of us has won. so I'm dropping it.
The first one to leave loses, so I won. Also I would sue your school for failing to teach you English.
Well, just because he forfeited doesn't mean you won (But I have to agree with you in his English). Still neither of you proved their points, both of you just said possible theories based on what you think or applying science to a different universe where Physics and science itself must be different. There are still a lot of gaps in both arguments and you were going in circles basing all your theories in "Because is not in the show." Although it may be worthless keep on this, there are a few things you overlooked: First, there are a lot of things that need more evidence. Second, If alicorns are made (like twilight) Why didn't Shining armor became one when he become co-ruler of the Cristal empire? he is still a unicorn and Cadance is an Alicorn making the argument that there are no male alicorns a little more believable. Third, anatomically speaking, we don't know if they body work as ours (or at least as if they were from our universe) so is hard to apply genetics in this. Finally, the only lead we have if alicorns are born like that, is princess Cadance because we see her as an alicorn when she was young (not that young but still), but looking at her younger form, looks like he had a similar age to Twilight. We don't have enough information to make any conclusion making almost impossible and just saying that because the show doesn't show it make almost any argument saying that invalid.
You wonder why Shining Armor isn't an alicorn. The answer is simple: he didn't earn it. Just marring an alicorn doesn't mean that you are worthy of becoming an alicorn. You say that Cadance was an alicorn at a young age. But she was born a pegasus.
She was? I didn't knew that, about shining armor you may be right. Still, i just said it was a lead, i was not saying it as a fact, but if she was born pegasus that makes the theory of alicorns being born less probable.
This is just plain stupid, it doesn't matter if Heimdall is still in school and you aren't. Unlike you, Heimdall have good arguments and is able to use correct grammar. Also, how do we know that you aren't lying about your age?
Easy...if he/she serves no purpose in the story. Lots of characters and plot ideas have been rejected because I didn't know what to do with them. Lots of Ponies from canon don't appear in the Riseverse because I don't know what to do with them. For example, Alice Lion Tail was quickly dropped once her whole "Alice in Wonderland pony" shtick became redundant after scenes set in the Underworld allowed me to use the Three Good Alices. Muffins the Dalek was conceived as a bodyguard for the Mane Six, but considering how Twilight Sparkle has everpony's back (and any threat big enough to challenge Alicorn Twilight is not gonna be defused by Muffins), Muffins is hardly used. Same thing with Pokkuti. Human Fluttershy habing a "Hulk Out" mode doesn't gel with her charterization as a goddess angel.
Characters that have disproportionate power or intelligence are almost always bad. Following from that, any character with few flaws or who is considered an exception to any in-universe rule is often bad. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
Well OC's with power that they shouldn't have are pretty bad. But in season 4 it is revealed that earth ponies and Pegasi have magic in them. Before in season 3 we thought that only unicorns could evolve into alicorns. so i think season 4 gives a little justification to pegasi turning into alicorns, also if you remember some ponies can give into evil and anguish within them and have an evil side. Much like sombra and luna. So i believe a bad OC is overpowered or way too smart which gives way to overpowerment. However i think that any pony possessing an element of harmony is not a factor towards being bad. Because these are TRAITS!!!! For example: My own pony Lightning Chaser possesses Loyalty because its the standard that she lives by. And she will be loyal to her friends even if they turn evil. She will stand by their side no matter what. its absolute loyalty. But i think another thing that makes an oc bad is if it resembles a character in the show too much. I think that their cutie mark should be entirely original as it is meant to be. But other than that I think that every OC can ocheive greatness.
You are incorrect. The Elements of Harmony are magical artifacts. They link themselves to a pony that is is strong in the trait that each artifact represents. As a result, each Element can only be linked to one pony at a time. Therefore, while an OC may possess traits that are similar to one or more of the Elements, they cannot possess the Elements themselves, for the simple reason that the Elements are physical objects, and they currently reside within the Tree of Harmony. - - Auto Merge - - You are incorrect. Ah you misunderstand me. When I say possesses loyalty i meant the trait. not the actual physical element of it. but she is driven by loyalty. And other ponies can say that too. that they have a trait but not the element. just wanted to clear that up
If a oc has anything on it that has all the colors of the rainbow then I will assume that it is one of the worst ocs ever created. The same applies to names that include rainbow.
Well Rainbow Dash isn't a bad oc but she is the one character I hate the most out of the mane six. The totally original character Rainbow Dath is a bad oc. The problem is that there is so many Rainbow Dash copies that are so bad.
There are no "bad OCs". The whole point of an OC is that you can create whatever you want. To make a distinction between "good OCs" and "bad OCs" is absurd. Now, if the question is, what makes an OC a bad character, then I would say the same general rules apply to any character; don't make them a mary/gary sue, have them well-developed, yadda-yadda-yadda, but really if you are making an "Original Character" the quality of that character really doesn't matter at all until you put them into the context of some work of fiction resembling a story where they can be judged based on how well-written they are. So if you want to make some ridiculous ultra mega 2.0 epic alicorn with puke-inducing neon green stripes and twelve horns then be my guest. I don't think that's a "bad OC" in it of itself any more than any standard pony OC that is trying to be more "toned-down" is. It might look ridiculous, but that is just the aesthetic, which is extremely subjective.
An OC's bad when it makes your eyes want to die. As for the personality.. I couldn't give a **** I don't RP.
