The year is 2068, this is the new future. Since the early decades of the 21st century, mankind had experienced a new era unparalleled by anything that has ever come before it. Technological development had multiplied faster then mankind was almost able to handle it, and life overall had changed. Economic growth, medicines that benefited those at the bottom of the social ladder, miracles were being accomplished. This new world had ultimately changed the course of human history for the better. The year is 2068, roughly fifty years since the beginnings of the Golden Age. North America has unified as a single superpower, while China had developed at an astronomical rate which significantly improved its economic and military might. For the past twenty years, the two superpowers had been in an intense period of Cold War. It was intense for every nation on the planet, watching the two giants stare each other down hoping they wouldn't make a move. After a while, things started to calm down and become peaceful. However, things are about to heat up again. The two nations are now at each other's throats, and a plot to detonate a powerful nuclear weapon in a major American city could take this new age of wonders to the worst possible way, triggering the unthinkable. You accidentally stumble onto this plot, what would happen next will change the world.

This was originally an idea based around my "Twilight Fortune" universe, in which 97% of mankind is eradicated by a sudden yet devastating virus in 2093 in an event known as "The Collapse". Although everybody kinda dies in the end, a prequel would make things interesting. Hell, I might use it for a serious project.
