So has anyone else picked up this little gem? I've read "Thief" and "Flower" and am about to start the 3rd one! The stories are amazing and really live up to the hype!!!

I've considered buying it, but I'm not sure yet. It seems a bit pricey for me, especially without knowing if the stories are any good.

Admittedly, I had pre-ordered before it came out and got a pretty hefty discount. The stories are pretty good though. They're not the cheesy, dumbed-down kiddie stories I expected. Probably about a good 5th or 6th grade reading level... perfect for someone like me who hated English class in HS!!! XD

Hmm, this doesn't sound too bad, I guess. The huge text doesn't provide me with much confidence, though. It just looks like something for much younger readers.

That's good to know. Would you say they're more or less on par with the early Harry Potter books (assuming you've read them)? Because admittedly, the worry that the writing would be dumbed-down for kiddies was my main reason for being unable to justify spending $50 on such a thing. But now I might consider buying it once I have some extra cash to throw around.
...Which probably won't be for another 4 months. Stupid college.

I actually remember the writing reminding me a lot of Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets!! I've only read 2 of the 3 DD books and the pacing seems just a tick faster than HP but still far from bullet point. Still done well enough to keep your attention. I expect the same from the 3rd.
