Huh...this place still exists? I was at NYCC and met Andy Price and Katy Cook, got her to sign one of my MLP comics. Made me think of you guys. Ya, so...what up?
>get stoked for Pathfinder this weekend >sudden crunch at work >have to work both saturday and sunday #justkeldeothings
"Y-yes I knew of you..." Jaime said to Luna as he was slowly getting a little better. He didn't look surprised anymore.
I have a serious question I'd like to ask if you guys don't mind. If/When I get job, will I still be able to have free time and do things I want to do? Because I feel like I won't and I'll LITERALLY go insane (I'm serious) if I can't do things I want to do. I don't want to walk around like some zombie.
My god. MERRI! It might seem like you'll be too busy, but you'll find a way; I always do, even when it seems impossible.
If you work full time, you'll have a few hours when you get home after work, as well as your weekends, to do what you want to do. Of course, you'll be too tired to do much of anything when you get home, so you'll have to spend your days off catching up on errands that need to be done. If you're lucky, you can catch up on errands before your work week starts again, and the cycle repeats. It's called being a responsible adult, and it sucks.
Responsible in terms of complying with society's expectations for you as an adult, but from an existential perspective, it's arguably irresponsible for depriving your human spirit of its boundless needs. Ideally, the best job would be one that both fulfills those needs and puts food on the table, yet every time I think about that I am reminded of this depressingly accurate image: I'd give anything to be able to return from my 9-5 in a wide awake, creative state of mind that allows me to get done what I'd like to get done. Instead I find myself in a zombie-like state that only the mindlessness of YouTube videos can adequately cater to. If that sounds like a first-world problem...yeah, I suppose it is.
