Are you danish? I've never watched that stuff,so I can't really say what the evidence is,however if you say that Doctor Whooves is the doctor,I want to know why you think like that.
Right guys, that's enough. If you have beef with either of each other, I suggest you refrain from showing it and show each other some respect. Meanwhile, my own input for the issue of Doctor whooves is he is a direct reference to the Doctor, this has been shown in many scenes that link to ones within Doctor Who. Now, the topic includes Dr. Whooves or Rainbow dash and whom is better, not if Dr. Whooves is canon or not.

I prefer Doctor Whooves (or Time Turner) because although he has no canon personality... I really like his character design, irrationally so! Sure Rainbow Dash is an awesome character but at the end of the day if I had a choice between Rainbow Dash merch and Doctor Whooves merch, I'd go with the good Doctor
I'm not really a fan of the show Dr. Who (I'm a more fantasy sword-fighting and bow-shooting kinda girl.). I also don't get why the Mane Six are going to wield Rainbow Power when we already have RAINBOW Dash (Who I'm not that big on in the first place.). I'll just say Dr. Hooves for this one. Sorry Rainbow fans.
As far as the show goes, Rainbow Dash. Rockout already said it, but Dash has a personality and is a focus of the show, it doesn't compare to Doctor Whooves who is simply a background pony that the fans have gathered around. Yeah the animators are aware and approve of the fannon, but it's still just fannon. As far as merchandise goes... Doctor Whooves every time. I already have a couple of his shirts.
Rainbow Dash. Background ponies are just background ponies to be. Some look cute and all, but they're just... in the background so I wouldn't consider them a favorite.
