This is what we COULD be watching... IT BURNS!!! YOU AREN'T PINKIE PIE...YOU'RE A BUNCH OF SECRETS AND LIES!! Am I the only one that wants OUR Rainbow Dash to beat the snot out of this Rainbow Dash? Thank god ever day that OUR Ponies are nothing like this piece of crud! If anyone questions why you watch FIM, show them this and compare the two! EDIT: I know, I spelled "Pony" wrong...curse my typing! x.x
WASN'T IT "DASHING"? *Facehoove* It really puts in perspective what an improvement FIM is. Let's keep going that way and NEVER look back!
Oh my god, Pinkie Pie's voice. WHERE IS IT FROM!? Honestly, it isn't THAT bad. I can see where FiM gets a lot of its charm for the characters and world.
I'm just stating that by comparison, you can see why Lauren Faust had a concern over the stereotype of MLP being too girly. THIS is what non-Bronies expect FIM to be: Watered down to extremely bland levels. It makes you really appreciate Mrs. Faust's interpretation and what she was trying to do.
Pretty much, I respect her even more than before I watched FiM. ...but then again Faust never thought the demographic would be where it is now.
But it was her goal to de-stupify the franchise and make the gender gap disappear, and that's what she achieved. I'm sure the fact that it actually worked caught her off guard, but that only goes to show that her concerns were valid and that her theory was indeed correct.
She did have previous works that she eventually used to thus create MLP:FiM. Whatever, at least it worked. :derpe:
Her previous works were not unlike FIM, but a lot of it stemmed from her own unique imaginations of each pony as a child, and the theory that those interpretations could be definitive for the franchise and thus they could have a solid generation to build upon instead of rebooting the series like they had previously been doing every time it didn't pan out. She felt she could provide a clear direction, and clearly she did.
Somebody needs to make full lyrics to that. NOW. lol! "LOVE PONIES! *LIKE A FAUST* SEE THEM GIRLY! *LIKE A FAUST* MAKE EM COOL! *LIKE A FAUST* SH*T ON GEN 3! *LIKE A FAUST*" Just throwing out suggestions...lol!
Hmmm. To be honest, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but it's nothing like the Pinkie Pie I know and love (she's my favorite character for anypony that didn't know). She actually seemed more calm and collected. It's unusual associating the name "Pinkie Pie" with a pony like that. I prefer our G4 hyperactive pony. Also, it seems odd hearing her say "everybody." That just seems so wrong now.
Its for little girls. Like DRD said, I too don't really care if its bad or good. I respect it as it is. On the side note: my little pony tales, to me, is watchable.
As disgusting as it is, without it, we may not have had friendship is magic... Scary... So, yeah, im a little grateful for this nasty, tacky, cheesy, overly girly steaming pile of faeces that used to be My Little Pony (as much as it did set the show a stereotype for haters and the like).
Whatever the reasons behind the new Faust MLP. I don't care, the show is awesome. It has been one of my favorite things I've ever had the pleasure of watching. As for that video, it's just a video. Sure I didn't like it, but times were different when that was made. I can't blame the original creators.
