Well, that was a short discussion. No, I'm kidding. I think there's a really good advantage to using this equipment as it's been specially created just for the purpose as well as been moulded around the hands to make them that much more comfortable. The issue is that said advantages outside of simply being easier to handle appear to be so meaninglessly tiny and insignificant that I have no need or use for them as, most often, I'm only playing for fun. Perhaps the more competitive of us might find some use but not me, I'm afraid.
I'm not a huge PC gamer, but I do love fashion. I like bowties and cool jackets. I like slick shoes and snazzy suits. I adore dresses and make-up. I also happen to have friends who are into PC gaming competitively. For them, part of the purpose of special keyboards and mice is the function. The other part is the fashion, the personal enjoyment they get out of using something that looks and feels cool in their everyday hobby.
Kinda like gaming PCs with lights and such on them. There's not much functionality there, but man does it look cool!
