Sorry to hear that. I'm also having trouble finding a place to live. Well, I would usually say that one works through one's hardships with one's family in most cases, but there are certainly exceptions. Besides, I don't really know what your life is like or what your relationship with your mother is, so without knowing the history between you I can't pass any judgements, and that history is yours to share or not share at your discretion. I can only hope everything turns out for the best and that you're happier with the decisions you make than you would be otherwise. I would however, disagree with you on one point: with toxic family relationships, it's never simple.
From my experience, family relationships are about as complicated as one makes them. I have learned to just put up with the people I don't like and try not to focus on what it is I dislike about them. My mood doesn't turn sour so easily when I take that approach, plus it lessens the chance my entire day will be ruined. But ch'yeah, I hope things look up for you Ridley. I can't imagine what never talking to my mother ever again would be like, so I can only assume that you're better off without her if she is so toxic. On an unrelated note; grinding Destiny has become addictive. Help me grind some more please.
I try my best at taking this approach, but it doesn't always pan out. I'll tune out BS comments my mom makes such as "You're never gonna find a girl if you don't get a haircut" or "You need to consider a real career", but when it comes to something she's just flat-out dead wrong about, I can't bite my tongue. Which has led to some explosive results upon occasion, but I'd rather take the occasional quarrel than remain completely reticent about issues I'm passionate about. I'm honestly not sure what (if anything) it would take to get me to sever all ties with any members of my family. The only thing I can think of would be if they brutally condemned some aspect of my lifestyle, to the point where they've become ruthlessly overbearing about it.

School got a new drug dog. Guess who's allergic to dogs? (Also, on an unrelated note, I am trans now.)
And you weren't before? From what I've read, this isn't really the sort of thing that has an on/off switch.
Well, I could've phrased that better. I've been thinking about it for a long time, but I never really settled on it.
Is anyone on this forum keeping up with/reading the MLP:FiM official comics? Well in the most recent one (Issue #27), Spoiler: Spoilers technically. I guess? Read at your own discretion they have officially brought deer into the comic series. It's definitely interesting and definitely recommended. I'm curious to see where this goes. Honestly, I kind of figured it was only a matter of time before the comics did something like this and it'll be interesting to see where this goes and if these deer appear in future comics or even possibly the show.
The Colbert Report ended last year and this year, Jon Stewart announced he'd be leaving The Daily Show. I'm quickly running out of reasons to watch TV altogether.
There are only a few shows left that I watch, and I watch them online. When I get my apartment, I'm not even going to get a television.
I've picked up the first two graphic novels and I plan to pick up more but MLP FIM isn't on my priorities. Still I did like the Changeling and Nightmare Rarity stories.
