/b/ is generally a cesspool for lack of humanity, BUT, there is a lighter, more appropriate and lovable side to what gets posted or goes on there. Unfortunately, not even The Doctor could have seen it much.
Ahhhh, /b/. I don't ever go on it... But I do love tricking people who have never heard of 4chan into going on /b/. Fun stuff. :Trollestia:
Never been on 4chan, don't really see the need to. Seems like it'd be the ghetto of the internet, you don't stop or ask for directions, just keep rollin' on through. That's the impression I got anyway.
4chan It is the cultural center of the internet, yet at the same time, it is not a simple place to survive unscathed. It's like a wasteland. Savage, yet it has a certain charm to it... At least, that's what I thought before I spent a week there to learn the art of trolling from the masters. Now I just see it as a troll training ground.
4chan is a confusing place well then again its probly cuz om not used to that kind of website thingy format
Oh my God. Best description ever. You can all stop talking about 4chan now, because none of you can top that.
I can see it now. Just some random anon passing by and curiously entering this thread... Ugh, it's freezing in my room...and the rest of the house... >_>
This is why I made it, to provide mad entertainment to the masses. Hm, I wonder what moot was thinking when he made 4chan.
A place where you can do anything you want. Then again... did 2chan come before 4chan? @Pixel; *cough* Vent.
I've been thinking a lot recently, and what I've realised is that the saying 'Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all' holds more truth than people think. Everyone needs to realise what they have, rather than complain about what they don't have, and should never ever take anything for granted. Life's so damn precious, treat it as such.
Treat every day like you're going to die very soon. Eh, I tend to ignore those sorts of things. I shouldn't, really, but ah well. Life is life for me.
Well, 4chan isn't exactly completely original... Moot basically took a popular image-sharing forums format often found in the Japanese image-sharing sites, and played around with it a bit, and changed it to English... ...I think 2chan came after 4chan though.
I really hate to change the topic from 4chan, but I have an interesting story to tell, but it does need a little explanation. First, for those that don't know, I work in a casino as security. Second, those days of putting a coin in a slot machine, and having three lemons line up, and then a whole bunch of change coming out the bottom - they're history. Nowadays, we have a Ticket-In, Ticket-Out system, or TITO. You can put bills in a slot machine, but not coins. But when you cash out, you get a ticket that has your winnings on it. You then go to a cage and cash out the ticket. (The reasons for this are kind of a long story, so I'll save that for another day). Third, anything over US$1200 is taxable, and requires an attendant and manager. The machine will not give you a ticket for anything over $1200. Forms have to be filled out, the government notified, etc., etc. Fourth, in Nevada, casinos are looked after by a legal department called, Gaming. Now the story. Last night, a woman came in, and tried to cash a TITO for US$1,000,000. That, by the way, is a felony. But, apparently after talking to the woman, who claimed some guy gave it to her on the street, Gaming decided she was "mentally deficient," and didn't press charges. Made for an interesting night.
