(Levi) -ahem- The victim was found in an abandoned building in Cloudsdale, with the defendant holding the murder weapon pointed in the direction of the gunshot wound that killed the victim. All of the evidence we have collected points specifically to the defendant's guilt, and I swear on my Prosecutor's Badge that none of it has been forged or tampered with post-collection. In addition, We have several witnesses who can testify to the fact that the defendant entered the building, knowing well that she would be carrying out a murder. I really do hate to admit, but it feels like we may have a one-sided trial on our hands today. As the prosecutor, I know I mustn't do this, but I genuinely wish the defense luck.
(I'll be quoting both of you so you know when I answer and the trial can keep up and you know when I answer) The judges eyes opened widely. "Indeed, I could give my verdict right now." He said "Please, bring your first witness to the stand." The judge said to Levi.
The judge nodded. "Bailiff, bring the defendant to the witness stand." "Yes!" The bailiff said as he brought Azure to the witness stand.
Azure got up to the witness stand terrified...but she did her best to keep her cool. "so...do i just like-" she looked at the judge for an asnwer since she hasen't ever been to court before so she was clueless on what to do.
The judge looked to Azure, seeing how terrified she was. "Don't be afraid, no one will do anything to you." The judge said trying to calm her down. "Azure..." Darky whispered to himself in the Gallery, still stroking Luna's head gently.
she took a deep breath and started talking. "well...i was at Cloudsdale because i've heard it has one of the most beautiful views in Equestria. so i was taking a walk through Cloudsdale when i saw an abadoned building and i thought it would be a nice spot to see the view,but when i walked in I only knew one of the Ponies which was Lightning Dust since i heard what happened to her in the training camp but the other pony i had no idea who they were but they ntoiced me and instantly started harassing me and backed me up against the wall right next to Lightning Dust and then after he continued harassing me he hit me a few times for me to shut up. I wouldve fought them but I'm not the fastest thinker when i'm terrified. so then he for some odd reason he just shot Lightning and ran away and dropped the gun. when i checked the gun I noticed it was empty which meant he wasted his only bullet on her. then the police came and they thought that it was me who did it and then...here I am..." after that she stayed silent.
"Does that means you were framed?!" The judge asked astonished. He then turned to Levi still surprised.
"Your Honor, I hate to say this," said Circuit, standing up, "but I must object. I wish to see all evidence against and for my client before you pass judgement."
(Levi) HOLD IT! Your honor, we have only begun this trial. We must evaluate all possible leads. We cannot decide a trial through a single testimony! Isn't this when the defense would begin their cross-examination of the witness' testimony? (Levi) And you, I believe that we have given you access to all of the evidence collected for this case, as required by law. If you were not, then someone in this room IS going to face charges of obstructing justice.
"Right," said Circuit, sitting down, "Objection withdrawn." He then turned to Azure. "First of all..." he asked her, "Do you remember anything about your attacker? Such as, say, their breed?"
"well…no except they were using magic but they were also wearing a sweater… so they could have learned a cloud walking spell or they were an Alicorn…"
"An Alicorn? What do you think of that, Circuit?" - - Auto Merge - - "An Alicorn? What do you think of that, Circuit?"
(Levi) HOLD IT! Miss Azure, I can assure you that it was not an alicorn. My mother, aunt, cousin, and marefriend are the only alicorns currently alive today. So, we can head to the conclusion that the defense believes that our culprit was a Unicorn in a sweater. However, the only pony who can teach a cloudwalking spell is my marefriend, Princess Twilight Sparkle. If the defense takes this information as useful, then they'd be wise to call her up to testify.
Somepony's voice could be heard for the distance. "H-hey... I'm also an alicorn!" Darky said from the gallery.
(Levi) Indeed he is, but that's beside the point. There's no alicorns with any motive to commit the murder.
"True," said Circuit, "However, it is possible that a Unicorn LEARNED the cloud-walking spell from a book."
