Remember that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic version of Five Nights at Freddy's game? It doesn't seem to be working for me. I tried to run it, and it loaded, but, when I clicked "Exit," my laptop screen went black and I couldn't get my regular desktop screen to come back. I had to do a force shut down. Everything seems okay now, but, I'm afraid to try to run the game again. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Could someone help me out here? Please?
You're not really helping. My laptop appears to be alright though. I am making this post from it right now.
Your computer's specs? It was probably a random crash.Try the game again. If it still crashes, then we could work on from there.
I'd rather not take a risk like that sorry. Here's what I could find for specs after searching on how to look for them on Google: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 460 @ 2.53GHz 2.53 GHz RAM: 4.00GB (3.79GB usable) System Type: 64-bit Operating System Graphics: Intel(R) HD Graphics I'm not sure what else you need but if you need something else just let me know what it is and I'll try to find it somehow.
So, your comp crashes when you CLOSE the game, right? Nope, no idea. You can always shut down the program by using task manager and kill the process, which is usually safe for your comp, however.
@Ridley Wolf http://gamejolt.com/games/strategy-sim/six-night-s-at-pink-pinkie/47155/ @Diamond I tried hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del when this occurred and nothing happened.
That's strange...Windows will never crash like that...At least a BSOD or something. Windows probably didn't crashed, the program might got something in its way while it is trying to close itself.
When you installed the game, did you also install DirectPlay? - - Auto Merge - - I scanned the file with Kaspersky, and didn't find any problems. The game is also working fine on my laptop, despite me doing my damnedest to crash it. I think you probably ran into freak glitch. I suggest just giving it another try.
There was nothing to install. It's just a .exe. The only thing else that showed up in the folder I created for it was the following: game_errors OptiDirectory.dll ProgressSNAPSAVEFILLE UPDATE: Tried again. Same result. I'm not trying a 3rd time until I get a guarantee it'll work. I'm officially out of ideas. Am I supposed to start a new game first or something and play for awhile and have a save for the game before it'll let me exit the game?
I don't think that is the problem. It might be your computer. The game was in full screen, right? Can you exit to the desktop without closing the game?
I really don't want to try again. I just restored this laptop to factory setting a couple months ago and I don't want to have to do that again because I screw everything up with multiple forced shut downs. So I don't know if I can do that or not. Why is it my computer? How do I fix it?
The game doesn't work without DirectPlay. You should have gotten a prompt to install it when you first downloaded the game. Could you have accidentally clicked past the prompt?
Not having DirectPlay doesn't keep the game from working (I tested before I installed DirectPlay just to make sure), but it can and likely will cause errors. - - Auto Merge - - Anyway, I recommend a complete uninstall and reinstall. If you don't get prompted to download Directplay, there's probably an installation error. - - Auto Merge - - It just occurred to me that I don't know what version of Windows you're running.
