Hi, everypony! Im Mike Siversky. Im 19. I live in Saint Petersburg. I want to look at the people from other country. Also I want to speak and write in English. And... Please, tell me about my serious mistakes if you will notice them.

I am brony with November 2011 and was sitting on the Russian's sites for brony. And about my country... I dont like my country and do not associate myself with my nation. I hate to drink alcohol... I hate militarism... I hate communism... Etc... And for many reasons I dream to go to another country after study in university. Special for it I went to prestigious technical university in my country from my hometown (Tobolsk) that hoping to be a useful for any country after graduation. That is why I always study from 8:00 to 17:00-20:00. I come home late at evening or at night and at night I relax. So I am "night owl"... nighthawk... batpony! )
Yeah. I have OC (original character). Its grey bat pony with black-white hair and tail (in avatar). I have a long description about my pony. Sometime I translate it. -_- I want to make a separate post about my OC. Can I do it?

I do not know what else to tell you about myself. And I know decription about me is some silly. Maybe it is because I do not have enough vocabulary. And maybe it is because I am tired today...

BTW, your English is actually pretty good when you consider that you live in a non-English-speaking country.

Weclome, Mike! You communicate well in English. I recommend getting your hands on English books and reading things you like. It'll naturally model good grammar and help improve vocabulary. In any case it sounds like you're on the right track.

I look forward to hearing your point of view!

Ok. Sometime, I will publish it. )

I read a little story, and news in English. I also sit in other English site: 9gag, EqD, wikipedia. Sometimes I play computer games in English language. And more... I go to a lessons in my university. I know that it is not enough but, unfortunately, I havent many time that do it. :( Read English books is heavy for me because 5 pages I read an one hour. I stumble on every sentence because I am looking for a lot of words in the dictionary. And that's sad that I forget many words after that.

Hmm, I'm a little late to this welcoming party, but welcome anyway!

And yeah, your English is pretty good; I'd imagine going from a Cyrillic to a Latin alphabet can't be easy. I had enough trouble trying to learn French!

Try a kindle, I think with their e-readers, they have a built in dictionary. You just hold your finger over the word in question and the definition pops up. Also, you can figure out a good deal just from context. But I hear you. I'm trying to learn Chinese.

Welcome to our little corner of the internet! I hope we can make your time here as enjoyable as we can!

And, don't worry too much about your English skills. It's definitely the hardest language to learn if your not a native speaker, but you seem to be using it pretty well, as you have basic spelling and grammar handled! My second language is French, so I can definitely relate to learning a foreign language.

Well, I definitely don't teach Chinese, I'm learning it. I think the written language is beautiful. I love the characters and their meanings. I love Chinese poetry. And also because it's so vastly different from English. It's as close as I'll get to studying an extra-terrestrial culture.

Yeah, if you can afford a kindle, definitely get one. The Paperwhite is pretty inexpensive, and the classics of English literature can be free. Also, you can carry your whole library with you wherever you go.

I understood that this is a hobby for you. )

this? 7700 rub/60=130 dollars. It is half of my money per month. After that I have 220 dollars but I must to pay for utilities (50 dollars), electricity (24 dollars), the Internet (7 dollars), student ticket; underground, tram - free (15 dollars), 2x go to a wash-house (17 dollars). And so after that I have 107 dollars. In our student's dining room food costs 5 dollars. 5*2=10 dollars in day. I can afford eating only 11 day or eat 22 day once. :(
I can not buy this thing.
