It's been a while since I've done one of these. Feel free to ask me anything! I-I mean...not anything... Just, you know...anything.
Hmm...while scrolls are nice to convey the occasional memo or scribe a spell, I prefer the weight of a hardback novel. However, I can't stand dust jackets. I find them annoying and unnecessary. I have very simple tastes. My favorite sandwich is sliced turkey on whole wheat bread. Maybe on a small bed of baby spinach with a pickle. Mm...now I'm hungry for a sandwich. Excuse me while I go make one.
Oh, I'm not so sure that I've decided, even now. You see, my profession was chosen for me at a very young age by my father. I remember, plain as my Cutie Mark, he said, "Son, I will not live to see an Inkwell waste his potential as anything other than a scholar." My father is actually a teacher. He teaches at the illustrious Misakitonic University. Very prestigious. And so, I was more or less pushed in the direction that I've been taking for most of my life now...and in actuality, I discovered that I have a knack for penmanship. As a preemptive follow up answer, I suppose that if I wasn't a Scribe, I'd be working in my grandmother's candy shop. I'm known to read all kinds of genres in my free time, but what I really enjoy is a good Horror story. I especially like the atmosphere, that dark, foreboding, bleak, hopeless sensation that you get from knowing that there's some kind of...thing...right behind you, and that you can't run and hiding only delays the inevitable. But, I know that most horror stories are not real, and I think that's what I like the most about them. My favorite story is The Raven, by Edgar Allen Pony. My pet raven shares his name.
I'm not sure I understand the question... Of course it's my name! My father was insistent that we keep the name going. He believes that the name has brought fame and prestige to anypony who's ever had it. Which is somewhat true, I suppose, despite the glaring logical fallacy... My grandfather, the first to have the name, was knighted by Princess Celestia for "meritorious service to the Principality of Equestria". I'm not sure what exactly he did, but it must've been something pretty amazing to have gotten him knighted. My father, like I said before, is a professor of "Non-Traditional Magic" at the illustrious Misakitonic University. Students and faculty have been known to get us mixed up from time to time, especially now that I'm older. Most have taken to simply calling me "Quill" while my father retains the "Quilliam" moniker. Hardly anyone uses my middle name, unless they're being super formal...or they happen to be my mother and I'm super in trouble. Spoiler: OOC No. My real name is nowhere close to Quilliam, Bartholomew, or Inkwell. Or III.
Simply put, I feel like it's not enough. My ideal condiments of choice are: Ketchup, Mustard, and Mayonnaise. I'm not a huge fan of relish, chili, or other such chunky nonsense.
Given you were to create some sort of legendary artifact, would you rather decorate it with cabochons, or have it menace with spikes? Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk
Hmm...an interesting question. I think that if I were to create some sort of magical artifact, I'd rather decorate it with cabochons. I'd make it up to be very pretty, you know, something you could put on your mantle.
