"When notorious outlaw Troubleshoes Clyde returns to menace the Appleoosa[sic] rodeo, the Cutie Mark Crusaders realize that bringing him to justice might be the key to finally getting their cutie marks."
Does anyone else think there's been an abundance of CMC episodes this season? I mean.. 30% of the episodes have been focused on them so far.
If I had to guess, it's because the focus of this season seems to be the significance of cutie marks. I'm hoping that this also means that this will be the season when they finally get the damn things and shut the hell up about it.
I didn't even notice that! Wow... [insert embarrassed face here] I will have to admit, I laughed at the second comment.
Why not? They're still important characters to the show. I imagine that there'll still be plenty of CMC episodes post-CM.
Yeah, they can then work on another six seasons of the CMCs adapting to or honing the talent their Cutie Marks give them. This season has also been one of the strongest character development seasons since the first.
Well, Starlight Glimmer is still at large so she may steal them right after they get them. Cutie Mark Crusader COMMUNISTS!!!
That would be an interesting twist. The CMC all get their cuties marks this season, only to have them stolen (temporarily, of course) by Starlight Glimmer, who will of course by that point be working for the Big Bad.
That is true. I guess I was just always under the assumption that they wouldn't get them until this series reached it's final season.
Lauren Faust did say at one point that she had intended for them to get their cutie marks at some point. She may have even intended for it to happen during the final season, but I doubt that she had any idea how popular the show would be. Five seasons in, with a sixth confirmed. Two movies, with two more in production. At this rate, if the writers waited until the final season, it could be five or ten years down the road.
We'e seen some pretty drastic changes so far like Sparky getting her wings in S3. It could all come down to Hasbro saying, "They get them this season." Whenever that might be is up in the air. I would like to have at least one season where they learn how useful their talents can be.
I was thinking of agreeing because I had the same thought, but then I figured that this was, what, the sixth episode? And thirty percent of six is only two, and when you say it like that it doesn't sound like very many, just two. Of course, I have no idea what the rest of the episodes are going to be about and I'm not even caught up yet, so I could totally be wrong about that.
Spoiler: Oh yeah, you may not have seen it yet... So has there been an "Applejack" episode where she hasn't been upstaged? :derpe: (Ok, this may have been more of a CMC episode, but still...) I like Troubleshoes, seems to take a lot of inspiration from my favorite Winnie the Pooh character, Eeyore. Applebloom - gets them lost and then says the thing you shouldn't ever say, especially in a thunderstorm... Sweetie Belle - using magic like a boss!
