Well, here is a biography on Order, a villain of my own creation, with alot of speculation on ancient time Equestria and the alicorn. During olden times, all of Equestria was ruled by the demon Discord, the earth ponies of the land only playthings to his whims. This was until the arrival of a group of refugees, seeking a new home after a great cataclysm. These refugees were the alicorn, ponies with the power of the gods in their hooves, capable of powerful magic, flight and manipulation of weather, as well as having the gift of immortality. The leader of the alicorn expedition, a hero of legend, Lord Sunlance, together with his two daughters, only foals at the time , led a mighty force into Equestria, carving his own kingdom from the outher edge of Discord's domain, crowning himself king. The rule of King Sunlance was at first very popular with the earth ponies, bringing order were before was only chaos. Sunlance's kingdom prospered for several hundred years, the earth ponies mating with the alicorn, producing the subspecies of unicorns and pegasi, though these relationships in Sunlance's opinion was a discrace to the purity of alicorn blood. During this time Sunlance's daughters, Luna and Celestia were schooled in the arts of politics, magic and proper manners, they gained the trust of the non-alicorn population, becoming the champions of the common pony at Sunlance's court. This was until the small kingdom got noticed by Discord, who sent his forces to reclaim the land. Thanks to Luna and Celestia mastering a weapon from the alicorn's old homeland, the Elements of Harmony, a weapon even Sunlance were unable to use, the invading army were pushed back and peace was restored. Now the king, ordered an invasion to liberate Equestria from Discord once and for all. Sunlance believing, the cause justify the means, increased taxes to an unheard level to fund the war. The ponies were starving, turning to the regal sisters to take up the issue with their father. Though Sunlance, being consumed by hunger for power, banished the sisters from the land after they refused to use the Elements if he did not lower taxes. After this, the king fell completely into madness, seeing himself as a god, only responded to the name Order. He was getting obsessed with controling every aspect of his kingdom, the pegasus were to follow his design when it came to weather, the earth ponies became serfs to the alicorn aristocracy, unicorns warmachines in battle. Relations between alicorn and other ponies were forbidden and he brought zebra from their home to serve as slaves to improve his war effort against Discord. What he did not suspect though was that he was just a puppet of Discord, who planned to saw the seeds of civil war. One day the regal sisters returned, tired of the evils in their old homeland, and gathered a massive following of ponies to rebel against Order. It was now Order's dark nature became apparent, he used a power unique to him, a power to influence dreams to crush the spirits of the rebels with nightmares. With no supporters, Luna and Celestia was forced to confront their father alone. After a great battle, Order was defeated by the Elements, but tried to escape justice at the hooves of the regal sisters and fled into the dreamworld, but was sealed from entering Equestria again by the elements. Now began the time of the regal sisters, and their accomplishments in defeating Discord and uniting Equestria is a legend on it's own. Ok, that was way too long .

Zephyr is a pegasus who is about 15 years old (Poni Years!) and as a foal his mother died in childbirth. Afterwards his dad (also a pegasus) raised him alone. As time moved on his dad and a couple of friends decided to enter a flying competition for fun. During one of their training sessions Zephyr got restless and attempted flight, which he managed to achieve for a couple of seconds. This distracted his dad who ended up slamming into the side of a mountain and drowning in a lake below. Afterwards Zephyr was sent to live with his father's parents, but was treated harshly because his family blamed him for his father's death, and so he ran away. After a few years of wandering from town to town he stumbled upon Ponyville and eventually just stayed, and over time he met R, Flash, and Foxytail and the 3 of them formed the Black Lightning Flying Team together. His cutie mark is a golden horseshoe with wings, which symbolizes his seemingly never-ending energy. He is always seen wearing a pair of goggles.
Parker is a mid aged Pegasus and very talented Blacksmith, he hangs out in Cloudsdale and while he's not working for weather patrol he can be found making and working steel in his Cloudsdale shop. His shop being made of clouds got a magic prepared wood scafolding that avoids tools and ground ponies from falling. When he was a foal, he hanged on his parent's business (a fabric factory) he loved to see the steam machines chuggin' and to tinker with old machine parts, his cutie mark appeared when a steam engine he made from discarded parts worked flawlessly. His cutie mark is an iron Sprocket from a loom. Pun: the name is a play on "parkerizing", a chemical procedure to protect metal from rust, also known as phosphating.
Lumina Starlight is a young pony roughly the same age as Twilight. When she was a little filly, her mom and dad were away on archaelogical expeditions quite often. But, when they came back they would always tell interesting stories about the legends, creatures, and ponies behind their discoveries. Lumina was always fascinated with the ponies and places of yore and dreamed of one day joining the great pony explorers. While retelling the legend of Nitemare Moon at a sleep-over, her horn lit up in an array of colors, illuminating the walls with magificent colors and images of the ponies, creatures, and places she spoke of in her stories. During the day, she runs a theatre, where she continues to recreate these stories so that all ponies may see, but her true dream remains the one she's had since long ago: to become the greatest explorer ever known.
The Necropony's true identiy is long since lost. It is known that he was skilled craftpony, with a mind attuned to design and construction. This distanced him from many other ponies. Still he had helped design many of Canterlot's grandest buildings in the days before the original defeat of Nightmare Moon. His personality "flaw" became apparent with the rise of Discord. The chaotic menace tricked the pony, and lured him into the Everfree Forest with promises of new ways to express his creativity. Discord instead changed him into a machine like creature, neither living nor dead, but something he could use to spread chaos all around Equestria. Following the defeat of Discord the creature now known as the Necropony wandered the wilds of Equestria, occasionally travelling into the towns in disguise, always searching for a cure to his curse. The Princesses are unaware of the Necropony's existence and as such all who have heard of his tale think only of a beast of metal that stalks the dark places of Equestria. Still perhaps the Magic of Friendship can save him, but who knows for sure. (This story is an echo of the Necron story from Warhammer 40,000 for those who know about it)
Here's mine on my own OC, Vainglory... Needs a bit of touching up, wrote him up a while ago... Ah well, I'll get around to it eventually. Vainglory is a Unicorn, aged 23, who had spent the majority of his life lusting after the ultimate perfection in his own image, and taking great pride in his appearance. However, after the loss of his best friend, Papyrus; he realized just how valuable and short a pony's life is. The next day he decided he would stop caring for only himself, and devote his days to helping others by taking odd jobs and refusing all and any payment. Vainglory is a strong believer in the idea of magic being something meant to be shared, and not hoarded by the Unicorns for their own gain. As such he is always willing to use his powers to help out Earth and Pegasus ponies in need, no matter how tired or weak he is at the time. Vainglory is coloured light-grey, with a slicked-back black mane with a red stripe running through it, and a black tail with dashes of pink. He is relatively tall, and nimble on his hooves, as well as of average strength for a pony of his size and age. In terms of his magic, Vainglory is well trained in the arts of teleportation and telekinesis, but is lacking in terms of minor spells like casting light and creating wind, his skills with average magic is more or less the same as all other Unicorns. His cutie-mark is a hand mirror, though he claims he is disgusted by it as it reminds him of how he once was, and thus he frequently hides it under his cloak. Despite living in Ponyville all of his life, Vainglory is not yet well known around town. This is because he mainly kept to himself when all he cared about was his appearance and made no friends besides Papyrus, whom he had recently begun to believe was only his friend because he pitied him. Even though he knows of how little he is known, and hated by those who do know him from his boasting about his perfection, he continues to strive to be seen as a good, trustworthy pony.
Well Skylark is a pretty average pony. He grew up in cloudsdale and was a pretty average flier too. He earned his cutie mark randomly one day when a chain of events caused him to act on his instinct and spirit. The cutie mark represents his four spirit elements. Bravery, wizdom, power, and instinct. These traits will help him later on in his life when he comes into ponyville. He will have quite a few encounters where he will use these four traits (Read my fictions under Action/adventure to find out more)
Born into a nice family Shining Swirl was always the most talentless of all of his many unicorn siblings. When he was younger he was always bullied, but he had the peculiar ablility to make many friends without trying. He was always bullied for his name and the color scheme of his coat and mane, his Yellow mane and Orange coat did not complement his Green eyes at all. Entering his later years of his life he indulged himself in reading and art, He excelled at art. He wasn't the most talented artist in the village, but he certainly had talent that could be worked on. For many years he practiced, but he noticed that his flank was still bare. Ditching the art dreams he practiced his magic. He just like art was not excellent at his magic either "Practice makes perfect" he kept repeating to himself. He worked hard and became equally talented to many of the most magical unicorns in his village. But yet again, still no mark. A sudden sadness and anger had come and plunged the poor pony into the depths of despair. He was a lost cause with no hope and or goals. He wandered many places in an attempt to become something, anything. He arrived in Ponyville, Shining Swirl stopped trying to be the "Star" so he settled down in ponyville and decided to give up. He decided to make one last peice of art, one that he would pour all of his soul and last of his hope and being into, He made a masterpiece one that was unrivaled to anything else. He checked his flank, but still nothing. But this time sadness didn't take him. He had his art and his "Hard Earned" talent.
My character was originally based on ponifying myself but I did create a short story for my pony. I have another part to the story but I cant find it right now. When Anti was a child she dreamed of flying but being an earth pony, many people told her is was a waste to pine away for flight when she'd never lift off the ground. Not one to give up on her dreams and after much toil, Anti built herself a pair of mechanized wings. Her best friend then had to watch helplessly as she attempted to fly (which was difficult with her heavy earth pony build). After many broken bones, bumps and bruises, she still never gave up on her dream and now is an accomplished flier. She still spends plenty of time with her best friend who stuck by her during the flying fiasco years. Anti is also a scientist and avid reader and hopes to make a major scientific discovery to help all pony kind.
Mine's an attempt at ponifying myself, minus glasses, because I couldn't get them right XD The cutie mark is an end HTML tag (no pun intended, considering where it's placed) because I picked the language up very quickly, so, aside from Karate, i'd consider it my only natural talent.
Figure I might as well do a little compile of several of my characters, all kept neat and together. -- Name: Forge Gill Steelblood Gender: Female Species: Earth pony Approximate age: 37 Picture and/or Description: Built heavy and large, Forge is a working pony and it shows in her strength and appearance. She measures in at a good 4'7”, and is a solid brown colour, her eyes a bright blue and her mane is a light red. Several scars and healing burn marks cover her forelegs and are scattered across her face, a result of her work and remnants of past tussles with other ponies. Background: Say what you will about Forge – if you're willing to risk getting hit, anyway – however no pony can claim that she's had an easygoing life. Forge was born to a family of blacksmiths who mainly worked at creating spears and armour for Celestia's own Royal Guard. The youngest in her family, and the only filly among her two other siblings, Forge had a lot to work up to to be noticed by her parents. She rose to the challenge in her own way, and studied and watched her siblings and parents work the forge, watching and learning how the metals all heated and worked. She studied their melting points and just where to hit them to get the perfect shape, as well as just about everything else that she could. Finally, at the age of seven years, she had her chance to prove herself to her parents, and was assigned the task of creating a single horseshoe. After several attempts, and many long hours in front of the fire, she created her masterpiece. The shoe, while rather crude, represented her devotion to what she knew with her heart would be her task, and her Mark appeared as the iron cooled, one of a simple anvil. To this day Forge still works with shaping metal, and has taken up her family's job of creating armour and spears for Celestia's Royal Guard, though instead has moved from her family's home in Caterlot to instead live in Ponyville, where she enjoys the peace and calm, as well as the lower prices on metal! Although her task is quite difficult, and must be done just right in order for it to be acceptable by the Princess' own standards, she's grown quite skillful at her craft over the years, and makes a decent living by the equipment she sells. Personality: Strong and independent, she's highly outgoing and not afraid to crack a few jokes whenever one comes to her mind. She's friendly around pretty much everypony, whether or not she takes a liking to them, yet can be fierce when she feels that she's personally challenged by another, or her work is put into question. Despite that she can come across as gruff to most, she's kind at heart, and not afraid to be a bit generous. However if another around her gets into a fight or a problem, no matter how friendly she is with them, she will simply stand back and let them solve it themselves, claiming that “They got themselves into that mess, they can get out themselves.” Most other ponies would take this as simply her way of showing that she couldn't care less, and yet it's the opposite. In letting ponies work out their own problems she believes that she's teaching them how to be independent, and to grow and learn through their own errors. Cutie Mark: An iron anvil, discovered upon creating her first horseshoe, and representing her talent at working with metal. -- Name: Ragna “Rags” Days Gender: Male Species: Earth Approximate age: 25 Picture: Background: Ragna was born in Ponyville and has lived there his entire life. He rarely leaves town save for the occasional trip out of town to Manehatten to visit his grandmother, whom he's always looked up to as a great role-model. His grandmother would always lecture him about how he should think of Earth ponies as strong, independent ponies, and as such he's been very prideful about his race, and while he doesn't look down on Unicorns and Pegasi, he still judges their actions harsher than he would an Earth pony. At a very young age, after attending a lecturer by a pony named “Papyrus Vanguard”, Ragna thought he had learned what he wanted to do most in this world, and what his Special Talent would be; writing. So, upon arriving back at his house, he sat down with his favourite quill and a piece of paper, and began to write. He wrote feverishly, for hours on end, over the course of almost a week! Finally, many, many words later, he gave the paper to his father to read. The waiting for his father's response was agonizing, the minutes ticking away like molasses as he read! When he'd finished reading, he father chuckled, handing back the story before giving his response. “It needs a bit more work” was all he'd said, and those words were all Ragna needed, as he nodded silently, just barely holding back tears of frustration as he trotted back to his room and read over his story once more. Shocked, he saw most of his mistakes, and set on working at them, several days later returning to his father with the story. This time his father did seem to enjoy the tale quite a bit more, and smiled softly as he returned Ragna's work. “You're getting there, why not get a bit of help with it? A writer you know, perhaps?”, his father asked him, and with a nod, he took back the story, having found new faith. Days later, with help from a colt named Vain, an aspiring writer who'd gone to his school, he completed the work. Wiping ink from his hooves as he studied the final copy in his room one last time, he took it back to his father, who simply nodded and tussled his mane kindly once he'd finished reading. “It's perfect”, he stated simply. Ragna took back his work as his father offered it to him, grinning stupidly as he brought back out his quill and quickly scribbled in a small note to the inside of the front page. “For my father, who has always had the time for me, and for Papyrus, for giving me the courage to write, as well as for Vain, the idiot writer, for helping me think.” With those last words he passed back the story to his father, along with the cheerful statement “It's a gift.” At that there was a sudden gentle flash of light as his mark came to be; a daylily, symbolizing his creativity in its colours, and his perseverance and determination with its own. Personality: He has a very one-track mind, and will pursue a single goal until he achieves it, no matter how long it takes for him to reach that goal. As well, he is generally kind and cheerful around everypony, even if he's just met them. However, he does find himself avoiding ponies he's met and likes little. Ragna can also be quite a bit prideful when it comes to himself, his family, or when talking about or discussing Earth Ponies. Mark: A daylily, one of the few colourful and bright flowers able to persevere through a harsh winter, which symbolizes his determination and his creative nature. -- Name: Magenta Wings Gender: Female Species: Pegasus Approximate age: 18 Picture and/or Description: Magenta's coat is, as made obvious by her name, magenta coloured – a bright purple pinkish colour. Her mane and tail are both a light violet, and are both cut close to help keep them from distracting her while she flies. Besides her indigo coloured eyes and her light dusting of freckles over her cheeks, her only other notable feature is quite possibly her most distinctive; her medical eye patch, covering her right eye. Quite a bit like this one, for example. Spoiler: Picture of Magenta, sans eye patch or Cutie Mark Background: Magenta was born in Cloudsdale five years after her brother, Indigo Wings. She lived a more or less normal life, and has grown up and played like, and with, the other fillies and foals. She has been highly indipendant throughout most of her life, yet still seems to love playing with and being together with her brother. Although she spent most of her life with few exciting thing happening her, the most notable is what happened at the age of ten, when she was flying through Cloudsdale. She'd been on her way down to the store not far from her house, flying a bit faster than she should have, in hindsight, when she crashed into a column that had been helping hold up a building. The column was fine, however Magenta received a nasty hit to her head. By the time she'd been recovered and flown to the hospital she'd already received irreversible damage to her right eye from the impact, and though she felt little pain from it, she was informed that there was nothing the doctors could do to save her eye. Surprisingly, none of the news even fazed her, and she brushed it off like the incident was nothing. And yet, the incident still convinced her brother, Indigo, what he wanted to do in his life; helping ponies who've been hurt. Several years after the incident, after quite a bit of studying, Indigo moved away from home to go live in Ponyville, where his true apprenticeship began. Although proud of her brother, Magenta found herself slowly missing the time they had spent together, and yet didn't want to move away from her parents, and home. Now, a long while later, Magenta has saved up enough money and courage, and has purchased a small house in Ponyville, relatively close to the hospital. Personality: Magenta is very outgoing, and likes to move quickly. However, if she feels it's important, she will gladly slow down and take her time or focus on something. For example, she'll sprint from place to place instead of taking the time to look around at the world around her, but with also slow down to finish an important task that requires her to be patient. However, she can also be very clumsy at times, and will frequently drop small items, or will occasionally crash into ponies or places. Despite all this she's quite the friendly pony, and is highly energetic when talking or discussing something. Cutie Mark: A small bandage, one for covering up scrapes and small cuts. She discovered her Mark while helping Indigo study, and when she realized that what her Special Talent must be is helping care for the injured, in the hospital or not. Alright, probably going to hit a character cap if I post any more... I've got a few other characters, but honestly they all need to be revised. S'bout it.
