The walls of Equestria's reality have shattered. Ponys from different versions of ponyville much team up to find three great artifacts to restore the wall before every reality is destroyed. Name: Lord Discord Discord from a reality where the Princesses never found the elements of harmony and defeated Discord. As a result, he has been ruling over Equestria for the last thousand or so years, and has never had to learn about friendship or reform in any way. He is also used to getting his own way and not being challenged. Basically Discord from 'Return of Harmony', only more exaggerated. (Hope this is ok. Might come up with someone else if we need/want more characters.)
Name: Starlight "Speedy" Speedster Jr Appearance: Personality(/backstory): A hard-headed, trusting mechanic. From his reality, his father was the one responsible with the modernization of Equestria through more mechanical means and he continues to follow in his fathers hoof-steps. He lives in Ponyville with his wife, Claire and 2 foals, Stardust Speedster and Starfire Speedster. Reason for joining the quest: The breach of realities would undo everything he and his father had worked for for countless years. Also it wrecked his car... That too
Well you said they were trying to restore the barriers between realms before they are all destroyed/become one? I think he'd want to return to the reality where he rules unchallenged, rather that risk becoming part of some joint reality where he doesn't, or even being destroyed.
Now that you mention it, they kinda do look mechanical. I'm just gonna say yes 'cause that's a cool idea.
