IMPORTANT: IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION OR COMMENT OOC THEN USE THE OOC THREAD. Thank you. This is a simple to understand game, where you use your OC to fight against other OCs. This game uses a system that's simple to understand. This game uses Power Values (PVs) and Endurance Points (EP) to dictate the outcome of combat. PVs represent how strong you character is, and what kind of damage he or she can take. PVs add no bonus or penalties to attacks. EPs dictate how long a character can stay in the fight. Each character starts with a number of EPs equal to their PV. This number can increase or decrease based on what type of abilities a character has, up to a total of 100 EPs. Combat is simple. The attacking player dictates his/her target through roleplay, and rolls 1d100 using this dice roller. html=http://www.brockjones.com/dieroller/dice.htm Whether or not the attack hits depends entirely on the character's PV. If the result is higher than the defender's PV, then the attacker wins. If the result is lower than the defender's PV, the defender wins. Results are roleplayed out according to the roll. The degree of success is determined by how high your result is. 1-5 above result = A glancing blow. Just barely scraped your target. -1d4 to defender's EP. 6-20 above result = A normal hit. Damage is normal. -1d8 to defender's EP. 21-40 above result = A great hit. Got in that little extra. -1d10 to defender's EP. 41 or over above result = A critical hit. One in a million. -2d10 to defender's EP. Ex: Bob attacks Charlie. Charlie has a PV of 45. Bob's roll is 52, which is 7 above Charlie's PV. The damage is normal, so Bob rolls 1d8, and comes up with 3. Charlie's EP started out at 45, because his PV was also 45. But now, he must subtract 3 from that, and it is now 42. What the post would look like: "Bob rushes in with his wings folded behind him, and delivers a hoof kick towards Charlie. (Bob's rolls would go here.) Bob catches Charlie in the chest, giving him a solid bruise." Ex. 2: Charlie strikes back. Bob has a PV of 50, which says that his character is stronger than Charlie's. He rolls, but fails to hit him. What the post would look like: "Charlie rubbed the pain off his chest, and lunged forward at Bob with an intent to bring him down. (Charlie's rolls would go here.) But Bob ducks out of the way at the last minute, causing Charlie to overshoot him." Edit: At the start of your post, you may take a stance. Stances affect the battle in weird ways. Battle Stance - normal Defensive Stance - -10% damage taken. -10% damage dealt. Berserker Stance - +10% damage done. +10% damage taken. Going from one stance to another takes no time, and you can still attack in the same turn. But you must post what stance you are in at the beginning of your post, or any actions taken before you change stances will be affected by your previous stance. Pay attention to your opponent's stance. It may affect the outcome of the battle. When it comes to abilities, it's generally limited to your imagination. Everyone gets the close combat and finishing blow ability for free, so you can have three other abilities besides that. Close combat - Deliver damage with hands, hooves, tentacles, whatever you use. Finishing Blow - Can only perform if opponent's EP is 15 or lower. Add opponent's remaining EP to opponent's PV for next attack. If you succeed, deal damage equivalent to opponent's remaining EP. Using powers or abilities that raise your EPs is the same as making an attack against yourself, and healing yourself for the damage you take. Here's a quick list of common PVs, and who would have them. PV 30: The average person. PV 35: The average police officer. PV 40: The average SWAT member. PV 45: Batman. PV 50: A werewolf. PV 55: (The highest and the most rarely assigned.) Superman. Now, here's the fun part: You don't need to make a pony in this game. You can be whatever you want, so long as it isn't TOO ridiculous. Your character may have up to 3 powers. Make them something simple to understand. Characters are created normally, looking and behaving however you like. Upon creation, each character has a PV assigned to them by the GM, based on both the physical description and the description of your abilities. Remember, this game is about having fun, not winning. There is no prize. It's just a free-for-all brawl for the sake of having a free-for-all brawl. Example character sheet: (AKA My character.) Name: Ace Sorou Species: Human Gender: Male Powers and/or abilities: (Obviously, I expect better descriptions of powers than you guys. from you guys. I call GM rights for my character, though.) Ki control - Use energy in body to deliver attacks, increase strength and speed, or fly. Super Human - Transformation. +5 to attack roll, +5 to EP, +1 damage. Lasts 10 turns. Power up - Raises energy in body, increasing willingness to carry on the fight. Description: Ace is a man who stands at 5'8". His face has two crystal blue eyes, and long, brown hair flows down his back in a ponytail. He wears a green pair of slacks, and black steel toed boots, whose toes have worn through to see the metal underneath. His muscular frame is adorned only with a black t-shirt, and his biceps flex with strength when he grips his fists together. PV: 55 (You guys leave this blank. My character has a high PV by being trained in the DBZ universe.)
TL;DR LOLOLOOLOL Jk, I'm reading it now. Looks like fun ---------------------------------------------EDIT--------------------------------------------- Name: Thunder Wave Species: Pegasus Gender: Male Powers and/or abilities: Thunder Blast - Sends a shockwave of lightning through the ground when he stomps his front hooves. Lightning shoots up if they are airborne. Causes normal damage.(If possible, disorientates them and subtracts -10 from their next roll.) Lightning Barrier - Deflects 10% damage back towards the target, does not negate any damage to self. Lasts 4 turns; usable every 8 turns. Flying Smash - Fly's 1000 feet into the air, then immediately dive with front hooves stretched out. Physically rams into the target dealing +30% damage, causes 50% of damage to self. Can only be used when enemy is under 25% and can only be used once. ((I was thinking of having stances, like a warrior in WoW. For example. Battle Stance - normal Defensive Stance - -10% damage taken. -10% damage dealt. Berserker Stance - +10% damage done. +10% damage taken Would this be allowed?))

Yes, I did. You need to have three powers. You can have three powers that you can use in either form, but you can't have two different forms with two different powers. If you actually physically transform in order to switch forms, that has to count as a power, but only if one is more powerful than the other. If I may make a suggestion, I would let you have Electrical manipulation as a power. That would give you the option of using electricity for both an attack and a defense. Also, you can take super speed as a power, and use that to do what the other two powers do.
Sure, even though you double posted. Prone, they take a penalty to attacks next turn because they need to stand up.
((Accepted. Stances seem like a good idea. I'm gonna go ahead and assign you a PV of 50.)) ((I like the character setup, but I think the Stealth has too big a bonus. That said, I will still allow it, but will assign you a PV of 40.))
((I'm gonna go ahead and start us off, even though we only have three characters for now. Anypony else can join if they want.)) Well, this was a rare sight. A human in Equestria. But that wasn't the most unusual thing about this human. He was flying. He didn't even have wings, and he was flying. As he looked down at the ancient colosseum from his place in the sky, he shrugged. "So, at one time, these ponies were at least violent." He mused, as he descended into the arena. "I wonder if there are still warriors amongst the ponies? If so, I would like to challenge them." He landed, and looked around the colosseum. His eyes caught signs that the arena had recently been used. "Hmm...someone has been here." He said, reaching up to tap a button on his scouter. "I wonder if they're still around?" ((I hope I don't need to tell anypony what a scouter is.))
((I just wanna point out I suck at RP :c but I will try.)) Thunder Wave was patrolling the sky's on his weather duty when he spots a red earth pony flying into the old dual Colosseum. Confused for why the earth pony was flying, he fly's down to possibly challenge him, for the Colosseum has been a dust collector for the past decade. He lands behind the pony. "An earth pony flying, not something you see every day. You seem fairly powerful, care for a dual?" a lightning bolt swirls on ground around his hooves.
((This is apparent, being that you think I'm playing as my OC pony, Crimson Star. No worries, though. I'm alright.)) Ace's scouter picked up an energy reading descending quickly on his location. He looked up to see a pegasus literally coming out of the blue. He smiled, as he began to float. "A pegasus. You've come to challenge me? How convenient. I was just hoping to be able to test the fighting spirit of ponies." He reached up to his scouter, and tapped another button. A series of six numbers appeared, and Ace laughed. "I warn you, this will not be easy." He said, getting into a fighting stance. "To make it a little more fair, I'll let you have the first strike." ((Stance: Normal. No attack this turn.))
"You seem a tad cocky boy." He remarks, raising his hooves into the air; smashing the ground sending a wave of lightning in a circle around him. ((I'm assuming I roll now, so I got a 76.))
((You hit me with 21 above. You'd roll 1d10 damage, after that. Since you didn't, I'll roll it for you. 1d10 = 4 EP = 51)) Ace was blasted back, and literally shocked at the same time. Still retaining some control over his body, Ace landed on his feet, skidding to a halt as he was blasted back. He caught himself, looking up at the pony. "Don't mistake cockiness for knowledge of the facts." He said with a smile, as he put both hands up in the air, as if he were holding a pair of pizzas. "Your power level is only 400,000. Mine is far greater." Two purple orbs of light appeared from his hands, and formed into thin discs. "This is but a taste of my power! Death Saucer!" He threw both discs at the pony, intending to end this quickly. ((Ki control vs. PR 50. 1d100 = 28)) Still a bit disoriented from the previous attack, the discs narrowly missed the pegasus. However, his mane took the brunt of the attack, and several hairs fell to the ground. Behind the pegasus, the colosseum walls now had deep gashes in the form of an X, where the attack had hit.
((Alright. So you know that my PR is 55. You roll 1d100. If your result is greater than 55, you hit. If it's only 1-5 greater than 55, it's a weak hit. 6-20 greater than 55, it's normal. And so on, and so forth.))
((Sorry, but I'm a complete noob at this kind of RP. I understand the concept of the rolling but I don't know where I use them. So for example, I rolled 1d100. Do I put that in my post? Then what do I do after that?))
