    Eeyep, that one :sigh:
I'm lucky I'd already heard how the movie ended... Don't know if would've slept at all if it came by surprise.

But a good movie overall. Not just 'argblr im a monstr i eets joo', it also had some other interesting themes.

The Mist was extremely depressing for me to watch. It did it's job well though, and that's why I liked it.

Drag Me to Hell though. Best scary movie I've ever seen. It had the right amount of dark humor, great scares, and a twist ending that I SORT-OF saw coming, but assumed, due to the nature of the final scenes, that it wouldn't happen.

This thread is now about scary movies. Name your favorite, I'll review it. I've seen almost all of them to date, from 80s to 09.

    I don't get "Horror" movies.
All (The ones I've seen at least, not to say all of them do) they do is have unnecessary amounts of violence, terrible plot line,
    and tons of sudden movements.
Also people with no sense of self preservation.
That's why I prefer older movies - that actually make sense - like 17 Moments of Spring.
    Simply my opinion.

My favorite is the original Alien. Aliens was my favorite of the series, but that was more action.

Yes, movies like Alien and Predator which are less "Horror" and more action
I can tolerate better that movies like Halloween or Saw. (Neither of which make sense in my eyes).

Yeah, Saw is borderline torture fetish and Halloween just seems bland to me.

I'm not sure if it qualifies as horror, but Pan's Labyrinth was pretty scary....especially the part with the Pale Man.

    Pan's Labyrinth?
    Hmm.
I watched that a long time ago.
Don't rightly remember what it was about.
Just remember a guy having his mouth cut open.

I loved Pan's labyrinth so much! One of my fav's.
The part with pale man really intrigued me. It speaks to your imagination... what is that scary guy doing there, sitting dead-like at a dining table, in some alternate dimension...

The first Halloween was good - after that, tho, came a flood of hacker-slasher movies that just sort of made the whole idea boring.

Nightmare on Elm Street was kind of fun, up to about the fourth one.

The Thing (1982) was the last movie I remember actually scaring the bejesus out of me.

And some of the HellRaiser movies were pretty good. Not really scary, but interesting movies.
