You're kind of missing the point of my earlier "board of executives" analogy. Also, "business model" doesn't necessarily imply a literal company being involved. You can have a start-up model without having a literal business. If you're going to nit-pick me there, then my only rebuttal is that your only technical accuracy in using the word "unstoppable" is that yes, something which never gets moving technically is unstoppable. (EDITED FOR CLARITY.)
Your a smart person and we need people like you on the team, but this isn't a money making project, I see it more as giving the Brony community something to tip each other with. But here is the kicker, Bronycoin isn't a company so its decentralised meaning anybody can join the team, an then decide to take it in any direction they like My way might not be the best way forward for the currency, but your way could be.. that's why its much better to be decentralised. People can decide to use the currency how they like, and build services on top of the blockchain.
I like that in principle, although earlier you said you wanted Bronycoin to surpass Dogecoin in value, which would mean that to you this is a money-making project. I think introducing any new currency is probably a money-making project, since the creators of the currency would probably also be users, and users would want the currency to have a high value.
Alright, you've clearly put a lot of thought of and planning into this. More than I gave you credit for at first. The biggest problem that I'm still seeing is the simple fact that you don't own the Bronycoin name and url.
I don't see this as a money making project infact I'll probably lose money, the reason we want a greater market cap than Dogecoin, is because I see that as our main competition. If I wanted this to be a money making project Id set the supply low so the price per coin keeps increasing rapidly. But that's not the case, because if we set the currency limit at 50 billion, The price will only be 1 cent per 100 Brony, and if it does move to 2 cents it will take a long time. Nobody owns the Bitcoin or Dogecoin name, because Crypto is decentralised and open source. Dogecoin our main competition is valued at over $200,000,000 and nobody owns the name. As for the fact somebody owns Bronycoin.com I don't see that as a problem, I see that as a possibility for a merchant that already supports Bronycoin in principle. lots of domains can still be registered, Bronycoin.org Bronycoin.net the domain matters not, its supporters of the Bronycoin currency that will decide to buy and operate sites like these.
So the new consensus is that Bits would be better than Pegasisters, for the parts that make up a Bronycoin???
Another problem I'm seeing is the mock-up coin art. Both the MLP characters and the FiM art style belong to Hasbro. I think the best bet would be to go with a generic cartoon horse as the coin image. Something that hints at MLP, without blatant copyright infringement.
The image I used for the logo is fan Art and shouldn't be copyrighted, but that is just to give people an Idea. I'm hoping we can run a contest for the coin logo design, prize = 10,000 Bronycoin
Well, just remember that Hasbro can shut down anything that uses their intellectual property. Make sure that the final design is something that you either own the rights to, or have documented permission to use.
I'll keep that in mind, but the plan is to use some Brony fan Art in the logo like what I have now, if we don't get a custom design from a contest before release, so it shouldn't be a problem as nobody owns the rights to all pony drawings. And the term Brony isn't even yet accepted by MLP but hopefully it will be in the future, I'm not worried about any disputes, because for one a cryptocurrency is unstoppable even by governments, for two I don't plan to use any MLP Artwork in the logo that's not considered public domain. If a dispute did come up, the currency logo within the wallets is easy changed, but Bronycoin isn't a company that can be targeted.
What do you guys think about this logo? I think even when its small still very clear to see its a Bronycoin
