I think this idea will be AWESOME, as I agree that pretty much everything about the government is corrupt.
I'm willing to take criticism, it was only the last two pages I started calling him a troll, after he's been constantly saying the same points instead of coming up with constructive criticism. To me at that point it became clear he was only here to troll the thread, not only that he's been insulting Bronies, but I admit it was uncalled for of me to call him a troll directly, so I apologise for that. I plan to get in touch with Bronycoin.com before release, will probably message them later today, but Bronycoin isn't dependant on that one site, I'll be registering others such as Bronycoin.net Bronycoin.org Bronycoin.eu lots of options. I didn't want to be constantly responding to the same questions, but I felt the need to reply each time, as he was trying to make the project look bad in my eyes. Just an update guys, I've spoken with david at Bronycoin.com, he seems interested in selling the coin and even maybe giving some away on his site, he's going to speak with his partner and get back to me.
You throw around the term Brony indiscriminately. Why can't we just be fans of the show? Look, I like the show, but these petty arguments, which, ironically, I am participating in now, are what makes me get pretty peeved at the fandom. As MANY have said, you're clearly very smart in the IT sense to be able to manage a cryptocurrency, but your Law skills are not so great. Hasbro WILL sue you.
As I've stated the logo can be changed more or redesigned before launch, you could help out if you like? I don't want our merchants to have any copyright problems, but doesn't worry me personally.
A simple cartoon horse that doesn't look like MLP would suffice. Hell, even just a simple engraved looking coin saying Bronycoin would work.
I'm open to all submissions, but it must be a noticeable pony even when the coin is made very small, This is because on most Cryptocurrency exchanges the logo for coins is much smaller, so if our currency logo doesn't look good when small could be a problem.
I think you need to realize that crytpocurrency, regardless of value, is MONEY. Trying to keep it out of the hands of of non-bronies after release would be next to impossible. If it gains value, people will want it. It wouldn't be difficult for an investor to buy Bronycoin from the bronies that received it for free.
Yes that's true sir, the point isn't to keep it out of the hands of none Bronies, they could just buy some off an exchange or from a Brony directly. The point is to try hand out free coins to Bronies and people that help out only, its impossible so we'll still get people pretending to be Bronies, that's why people at the conventions should get more free coins than online accounts.
Interesting idea. What if, hypothetically, a non-brony decided to help out? There are actually active members on this site, and other brony sites, who don't watch the show anymore.
lissen people if you guys are worried about copy right issues then simply give us some ideas for the logo or give us some concept art.....instead of bashing us saying HEY IT LOOKS LIKE RAINBOW DASH..... yea we know it looks like rainbow dash okay NO NEED TO POINT IT OUT..... if you want to help us simply DM one of us some concept art or some ideas
even if they are non brony and have the smarts to run a cryto sever etc etc then yes they can help :3
