What characters do you think should have their own episode? I say Zecora. We still don't know much about her. I'd like an episode talking about where she came from, more about the kind of magic she can do, etc.
It would be cool to have an episode focused around DJ PON3 where the primary dialogue and character interactions are replaced with musical accompaniment and pantomime, since as far as we know Vinyl doesn't speak. It could be like a silent movie from back in the day, where musicians would play as the clips rolled for the audience.
Gummy absolutely needs his own episode. The concept would be that all of the action is happening around Gummy, while he just kinda sits there and gives no bucks.
Celestia. She needs more character development. Spoiler Unless they're saving that for the 2017 movie where she turns in Nightmare Star? (the thing from the card?)
As far as minor-ish characters, I'd like to see a day in the life of Big McIntosh. Kind of a show equivalent to the IDW comic issue that follows him around and gives insight as to what goes on inside his head. I think it'd be rather funny to paint "Inner Mac" as quite the philosophical type, even though "Outer Mac" only responds in the usual yes/no fashion. More major-ish characters, I'd definitely agree with Celestia. Would be pretty interested in seeing some kind of flashback to her and Luna's earlier lives.
To be honest... I think I would rather it be the story of the 2017 movie. I don't think a 20-some minute episode is long enough for that. That's just my opinion though.
Por que no los dos? Why not have multiple episodes providing vague allusions to Nightmare Star and backstory for her transformation so the movie makes sense? Otherwise it would mostly be a two-hour here's-a-new-villain-whoops-now-she's-been-defeated flick that we could add to the Disappointingly Brief Villain Appearances list. Or what if the movie was merely the conclusion to a larger over-arcing plotline? Gotta think big here, if we're going to fantasize.
You got me there. If they did that, and actually have an arc that extends throughout a season and isn't resolved at the season's end (Season 6 perhaps?) and hint at it here and there like some other anime/cartoons do (Naruto, Legend of Korra, etc.) that could make the show even better. It would then be resolved in the movie. Yup. Sounds EPIC to me.
Princess Celestia, because we are in season 5 and yet the staff avoids her. If even Cadance is granted with more insight into her character and even some Luna fans want a Celestia Episode, then something has gone wrong by now. Heck, i know more about Discord than Celestia and he gets one more episode for himself this season. -.-
I would love to see an episode solely on Princess Luna or even Celestia. More about like what they do during the day and night in Equestria. I mean we really don't see much of their everyday lives do we? That would be an awesome episode to actually see!
Totally on board with Big Mac getting the spotlight. According to Lauren Faust, there was an episode idea where Big Mac unexpectedly leaves the farm that got turned down. Be nice if the current writers could dust that script off, make some changes, and try to get it approved this time around.
I say Luna. Most of what we know of her is from the history of equestria as well as the Luna Eclipsed episode. The rest is guess work. And Doctor Whooves. Cause he's the Doctor.
