You know, this is actually very interesting to me. I've been here for three months, and never did understand how Rep worked. I just gave it where I thought it was worthwhile, and was astounded when I got it. All of this is very interesting. Oddly, I didn't even think to ask about it. Silly me.

Not really. You see, there technically is no present. Present is a relative term used to describe the instance in 4 Dimensional time that crosses with 6 Dimensional time, at a given point. Essentially, present - for me that is - just means, where I last left off. Time being this messy... difficult to describe... jumble of events, doesn't center or orient around a given point or object. Therefore, everywhere anypony goes is the present, even if in their eyes it is the past or the future.
