Veemon was too focused looking around the hallways to see if the 'mastermind' would respond to his insult. So he wasn't really listening to what the others said after his insult. However... Veemon looked back towards the Hybrid. "Well... I'm not sure how much 'help' I'll be. I mean, I can fight with a sword, and now I can digivolve to a Champion, but, I can't ignore when something bad is happening either!! I don't know if I'll be of any help... but I won't give up!! Count me in!!" responded Veemon. Of course, Veemon really had no idea what he was really getting himself into...
Morana eventually came back as she face planted the floor,exhuasted. "I didn't find him anywhere... Don't tell me he was returned to the gate thingy. He was wasnt he?" She lifted her face off the ground and looked at Robert. "Whatever you were just talking about,i'm in." Then she went back to sticking her face to the cold floor.
"Good to have you both." If the bad Digimon started coming over as Ultimates he'd need all the help he could get. Humons were good against the lower levels but the final level....
"So... now what?" asked Veemon Then, he muttered under his breath... "I was kind of hoping I could explore this place before. Never been to school..." muttered Veemon
"Now I'm going home chess club is over by now. If you need a place to crash go see the nurse. Lilamon will hook you up with a place to crash. " It really amazed him how Morana didn't know about Digimon. Then again... during the school day the nurses office was flooded with boys who wanted to stare at Lilamon.
This made Veemon realize that he actually didn't have a place to stay either. He just came here without even thinking about where he would live. That actually made him a little glum. "Where is that? I... um... kind of... need a place to stay... heh heh..." stated Veemon, a little embarrassed that he didn't think about this before he came here.
"You can come home with me if you like." She brushed off all the dirt and dust from her clothes as she got off the floor. "Just let me get my bag." She went off into a classroom to search for her bag.
"You can take up her offer, or you can go out the office door, turn right, and the nurse office it the first door on your right." [I was trying to find a floor plan of my high school cause that's what I have in mind for this one, but I haven't been able to find one. I have an aerial view of it, but not a floor plan]
Veemon nodded, to show that he understood, and then followed the other hybrid to her classroom. "Are you sure? I don't want to intrude or anything..." asked Veemon. He wanted to say yes, but, he was just worried that it would get this girl in trouble or something.
"Don't worry,it'll be fine." She finds her bag and slings it onto her shoulder."hop in." She opens her bag and turns around.
Robert walked back to the chess club room. The rest of the club was gone and his backpack was where he left it. He Digivolved today. He didn't know it was possible. He didn't need to go home just yet. Focusing he tried to do it again. "Humon Digivolve to Renamon Hybrid!" Nothing happened.... ~~~~ Gokimon finished locking the other doors. All that was left was the main door. As he waited by the door he was glad that the fight didn't make too much of a mess. Being the Janitor wasn't a bad gig, but unless the fight was in the cafeteria he could eat away the mess.
"Are you buckled in?" She didn't wait for an answer as she started a speed run towards her house. "I just love the wind in my face!"
Veemon could only stand in shock at the speed she was going. Eventually... she was pretty far ahead of him. He finally began to run after her. "Hey!! Wait for me!!" shouted Veemon
(You know what? Nvm...) "TRY TO CATCH ME!" As she was having a blast large orange wings on the top of her head suddenly appeared as she ran past people with incredible speed,some with confused faces about the orange wings on her head and others brushing it off. She was still just in eyeshot of veemon to let him see her open a door and burst through,shutting it,but not locking it. She was getting her breath back after her race to her house. "Oh...that was a blast..."
The hybrid was going too fast. Veemon couldn't keep up with her. He might of had a chance if he digivolved... but... he didn't want to cause a scene. He wore out rather quickly but forced himself to finish the run to her house. He opened the door and collapsed on any nearby sofa or couch in her home. "How... do... you... have... so... much...energy?" asked Veemon between wheezing breaths.
"I don't know...but I just feel so ALIVE!" She laughed as she flew around her room. "HA HA!" Suddenly her mother walked in and Morana and her mother just stared at each other in silence glancing at veemon every now and again.
Veemon looked up after noticing the awkward silence. He noticed the hybrid and another one, this one clearly human, occasionally looking at him. Did he do something wrong? He broke the silence by speaking to the new human in the room. Once again not thinking as always. "Hi there!! I just got here from the digital world. This girl over here graciously offered to allow me to stay here. Pretty nice of her huh?" stated Veemon. Once again, he wasn't thinking. At all. Hopefully this wouldn't cause any sort of problems for him.
