Possibly but we already changed Pegasisters to Bits, and I feel Bronycoin BRO rolls off the tongue, BYN is just another three letter currency ticker people will forget.
So is USD, very few people use that three-letter identifier in everyday dialogue. Most people just say Dollars or U.S. Dollars.
That is very true but just trust me on this, as I'm the one that uses Cryptocurrency exchanges. Theirs 100s of currencies, the ones that stand out when looking down the list, are the ones you can easily sound out in your head. Most Bronies won't say send me 50 Bro, they'll say send me 50 Bronycoin, or 50 bronies.

My fellow Bronies, after reading most of the threads on this forum, I can understand your scepticism.. I've seen many threads with Bronies coming up with an idea, then they gather people to help only to not continue with the project, I'm not one of these people, Bronycoin will be released within 7 to 10 days depending on logo, you have my word. Well this is a good place to start more info will be added to the post once released, + people in this thread will get free coins first. If you need detailed information about Cryptocurrency maybe research Dogecoin, its basically the same, accept Bronycoin is more secure via the POW/POS hybrid mining network, been rarer supply, and has some other advanced features such as Turning complete.
7-10 days is perfect. I'll be back home with access to a nice fast machine to start mining. By offering coins for logo submissions, and participating in the thread, can I assume that you already have the system up and running?
The scripting is already done, only thing we're waiting for is a coin logo for the wallets, but no blockchain hasn't been started apart from on testnet.
