What do you think? Do you think FiM will end with the 2017 movie, similar to how Ed Edd n Eddy ended with the Big Picture Show?
The movie will probably cause an increase in toy sales, which will of course cause Hasbro to order more seasons made. I think this will be more like the first Pokemon movie.
I'm not sure. I'd like to say that as long as the series is profitable, new seasons will be made, but the truth is that once the company makes a certain level of profit off of the series they might just retire it - at least until the next iteration - to give the creative team a rest. It's not necessarily what tends to happen in these businesses, but it's not unheard of, either.
Honestly? The series should end with the movie. But will it? Probably not. I just hope the show doesn't end up eventually becoming dull...
I don't know why they don't do a movie as the ponies, EQG is fine and all, but they need to have a balance here on the movies. Just doing one universe in movies gets boring.
Yeah... they need a movie with ponies instead of ponies morphing into ugly humans. (In case you haven't heard yet, I don't like the EQG movie series and will never watch it.)
If you've never seen it, then how do you know you don't like it? Would it not be more fair to say that you dislike the idea of it?
Sure I guess. The whole premise of it just seems idiotic to me. The show was fine with ponies and ponies alone. There's really no reason for them to transform into humans. Of course that's just me obviously though.
I do understand your feelings on the subject, because I felt the same way before I saw the movie. Most fans thought it was a stupid idea, but most ended up enjoying Equestria Girls. For you though, I don't think you should ever watch the movies. From what I've seen, I think you've dedicated so much time and energy to hating the movies that it'd probably be impossible for you to enjoy them. As for the reason why the ponies had to become human, that's simple. Hasbro needed something to compete with Mattel's Monster High dolls.
Yeah you're probably right. It's far too late and I just honestly don't think I would like it. I'm fine with sticking with the show. I do plan on watching the 2017 movie though (as long as no human transformations are involved of course)
Dunno. According to one of the writers IIRC, the EQG series is canon but only in the sense that it happened and Twilight learned something from it. We have yet to see any actual references to those movies though other than cameos I think?
I'm aware of it. I just want to see the movie focused on the other universe too, sure this will sell merch, but only focusing on EQG is breaking up the balance.
I think the movie will attract people who didn't know about mlp before. Which is good. More pony fans, the better.
