Yeah because someone can copy the unique magical properties of deus ex machina from another reality. Next you'll turn into the Matrix and defeat Unicron. *Unicron floats overhead.* Oh look he's your chance. Good luck.
Oh! By some chaotic chance, this concrete encasement has protected me from an otherwise-flawlessly thought out attack! Who'd of thought it? *sticks her tongue out at the faux-elements*
My specialization is teleportation and transformation, remember? So, I teleported a bit of Equestrian air into my lungs, which allowed me to analyze the residual magic of the Elements. After that, I simply split my body into six crystalline forms, and exponentially duplicated the associated magic within each form. Not quite as powerful as the real thing, unfortunately, but a workable facsimile.
Fancy explanation, still doesn't make a lick of sense. The elements aren't simple crystals the hows and whys what they do is due to an unexplained interaction with their wielders. Also even within it's own continuity they Elements don't work the same within another universe. You could have powered up Discord with your little blast.
Or it would have been equally ineffective with or without the concrete. Seriously a knock off Deus ex Machina just seem rather dumb. I hunger. Good for you. We're griping here go find your meal somewhere else.
*teleports out of the concrete* Well, actually, It's a common misconception that when hit by the Elements, I'm turned to stone. I am actually just encased in stone that my magic cannot penetrate. Already being encased in concrete would leave no space for this stone layer to form, and may in fact protect me. I don't really want to test this theory however...
"Perhaps you should look up the definition of deus ex machina." A deus ex machina is a plot point that comes out of nowhere, basically an asspull. I've been doing this sort of thing since Round Two. It's an established ability. If it's too overpowered for you, well...
Good for you. Go eat Unicron. He hasn't been much of a threat since the last hundred times the Autobots destroyed him. I don't have to take this I'm going home. *Unicron flies off, annoyed his status as a dark god of destruction is so easily ignored.*
You've established you can ignore reality and the rules there off. Good for you, doesn't make it any less illogical that your knock-off(how do you spell facimilly?) would hold the same properties as the real thing. As I haven't seen the eps where Discord was stoned I can't argue this point.
That makes sense. It explains why Discord was aware of what went on around him, and explains why he cast off a shell of stone when he returned to normal.
