Such childishness DEFINITION of 'Fiat Money' Currency that a government has declared to be legal tender, but is not backed by a physical commodity. The value of fiat money is derived from the relationship between supply and demand rather than the value of the material that the money is made of. Historically, most currencies were based on physical commodities such as gold or silver, but fiat money is based solely on faith. Fiat is the Latin word for "it shall be". BREAKING DOWN 'Fiat Money' Because fiat money is not linked to physical reserves, it risks becoming worthless due to hyperinflation. If people lose faith in a nation's paper currency, like the dollar bill, the money will no longer hold any value. Most modern paper currencies are fiat currencies, have no intrinsic value and are used solely as a means of payment. Historically, governments would mint coins out of a physical commodity such as gold or silver, or would print paper money that could be redeemed for a set amount of physical commodity. Fiat money is inconvertible and cannot be redeemed. Fiat money rose to prominence in the 20th century, specifically after the collapse of the Bretton Woods system in 1971, when the United States ceased to allow the conversion of the dollar into gold.
And you expect a meme cryptocurrency, limited to 0.000000001% of the Earths population actually be worth anything? Everyone has lost faith in this, it's not going to be worth anything.
The demand for Bitcoin determines it's worth, and therefore is almost like a stock. At least, that's what I know. In this case, you'd need to get every brony in the world to use Bronycoin to exceed about $10, but since less than 1% of bronies use cryptocurrency, you'll get lucky if you get $0.10 as a coin value.
You already made this point and I debunked it, like 8 pages back lol, do I really need to say Bronies number over 5 million again and we're more than just memers?? Bitcoin is said to only have 500,000 users, and that's worth 100s of millions in fiat. Haha I might end up been happy to have you here sir.
Yes, because every single brony is a cryptocurrency user, and every single brony wants their own cryptocurrency being made by someone trying to rebel against corrupt governments and spams overused brony memes like a cringey neckbeard.
You've confirmed your not a Brony so your opinion really doesn't matter to me, No I don't believe all 5 million will accept the free coins, but a good million might. Then later the full 5 million.
A good 80% of the fandom is under 18 and have no interest in a brony cryptocurrency. You might get 1,000, if you're lucky.
^ This. Bronycoin Leader, I think you need to know one thing: It's not that easy to get attention. Heck, it's not very easy to get attention for a virtual cryptocurrency for bronies. You're looking at less than 500 people using this at one time. If it doesn't appeal to them, they will stop, too. For example, my cryptocurrency, I don't expect it to launch with 1000 people on it and always expect it to succeed. This is a problem that all altcoin programmers face, and I'm afraid that you can't avoid that wall.
Can't wait for this project to fall flat on it's face. You can't even create a website properly, you dis regard every piece of criticism, and you think because of 'muh 5 gorrilion' this currency will be successful. You are sorely mistaken.
Don't even try. He won't take your advice, and he'll just tell you to start your own thread. Your project looks like it could have some success, you act professionally, know what you are doing, and you don't have stupidly high expectations. Good luck with your currency.
I have a plan to over come that wall, its called my good friend Palmerek.. master of masters and king of all bots, he created the rainbot over at bleutrade exchange. We'll first target millions of bronies on twitter with free coins via tipbots.
How do you know if they actually know about cryptocurrency and can use it? I mean, giving out free coins is probably a waste if they don't have any idea how to use it and aren't guided to do so.
The bots website will give instructions on how to get your own personal wallet, and links to bronycoin information, it will store your coins for up to two months, if unclaimed they will get sent out again. Not all brony will get fully involved in crypto such as mining Bronycoin, but they might find the coins useful in many other situations. Such as, transaction messaging each other, tipping, buying tickets to conventions, and a million of other things.
