So, I've noticed that there are quite a lot of authors in the fan-fiction section of the website, and it got me thinking, would it be of use to any of you if there were audio versions of those stories? If any authors on here want their story read out so maybe others can listen while they do something else or sit in bed for a little relax listen, then I would like to know in the comments. I would like to narrate stories that aren't popular, so they get their fair share of an audience. I know some prefer to read, but I sometimes like to listen to audio versions while I lay in bed, but usually the only ones available are the likes of "Cupcakes" and other popular grimdarks. Just a little idea, it might not even happen. :derpe: Just display your thoughts in the comments! Thanks guys!
I've thought of doing that - reading my stories aloud. I usually do anyways, to see how they sound, and make sure they make sense. If I get the time, I may do something like that.
I have an unfinished fanfic that I would much enjoy having narrated, but alas! it's still in its infancy, and I don't have any money with which to pay someone like Setzertrancer to read it once it's been finished. If anypony was wondering, the fanfic in question is neither grimdark nor shipping.
Wait, pay? I love narrating, heck, I was going to do it for free for anyone... :0 I'm not looking for monies. :3
That's super cool of you. I have to work on editing my material, but technically I have the first chapter handwritten. Once it's typed, would you like to check it out to see if it tickles your fancy? If you're not interested, that's okay, but I'm totally geeking out at the idea of having somepony do a dramatic reading of my fanfic. If you're wondering what it is, it's sort of complicated. It's somewhere between a parody and a crossover fic, but the idea is "LOTR-esque events and storyline in the MLP:FiM universe."
Feel free to record reading mine, if you're into its theme set (Adventure, Grimdark, Shipping). It hasn't been featured on EQD, so I plan to do more polishing in the future to try and get it there, when I'm not busy writing chapters for it. A critical flaw to my fic is: I cannot read it aloud to myself as I write it, so I just wing it for that aspect.
Hey, it's my pleasure! A LOTR style fan-fic sounds epic, and I would love to read it! When you have finished your first chapter, typed and proof-read, be sure to link it to me when you can. That way I can give you a little sample reading through my mic, just to test if everything's ok with you!

OH MY CELESTIA. Your voice is awesome for that kinda stuff! I wanna do this audio-reading thing SO BAD now. ;_;
..... You just became one of my best friends on the internet. I hope that's okay with you, good sir. In any case, the fanfiction actually has a premise (I'll include it in the description once I send it to you) that sets up the LOTR/MLP idea. I wasn't comfortable just randomly inserting ideas and references into MLP, like "They're taking the fillies to Isengard!" without setting it up first. xD
D'awww schucks, well I'm serious, it's about time I did something for the community and this is it! Looking forward to, pal! The friendship has been DOUBLED! Oh and, "They're taking the fillies to Isengard!"? I lol'd out loud because that remix is now in my head. xD
