Because I'm about to go now. :derpe: Need to say goodbye to all my Steam friends, I'm so amazingly (un)popular you see!
The whole internet goes eerily silent as the players in the GMT timezone prepare to boot into Skyrim for the very first time.
Oh dear, I hope it lives up to expectations. I'll probably screw around for the first 12 hours, chasing butterflies and jumping off waterfalls. Hopefully the dragons won't see me.
Yep, that's sealed it. Skyrim is an awesome game.
Hmm... I wonder... Will I be able to mooch off the Skyrim disk off of someone for long enough to make an ISO...
ISO, mm? Yeah, I'll take it. Then make an SMC file. Then stick it on a SNES cartridge. Then put it in my SNES, which has been modded with a dual core Intel i7s, 8GB of tri-channel DIMMs, and a Nvidia GeForce 780. Also, I'll increase the amount of flash memory on said SNES cartridge, to fit Skyrim on it.
Remembrance Day today. I had my moment of silence in school, voluntarly, and on my own. Just sat down in class during break and just reflected upon the whole concept. I don't think I'll ever be that brave, really. Preparing to give the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good, that's why I have so much respect for servicemen and women. Wearing my poppy with pride. However, there just has to be a downside to everything, doesn't there? I mean, this day is all about remembering those who died for us, and those who continue to do so, yet there are people who actually burn poppies and claiming 'British soldiers can burn in Hell'. Well, to those who do that, I just hope they realise that resolve over such an issue is so strong, they'll never win. They're pathetic, and the amount of suppoprt the soldiers get will always prevail over the frankly idiotic hate they spout. Much love, soldiers.
My dad was in the army for over 20 years. Every time he was deployed to some other dangerous country, I was afraid he wouldn't come back. It's hard not seeing your dad for over a year because he's off in Afghanistan or Korea or Iraq. He's retired now, but he's now a security contractor so he's still in Baghdad and he will be there even after the soldiers are gone. I can only hope he stays safe until he comes back for a visit. Happy Veterans Day everypony. <3
mt views on war, remembranced day,and the like can be considered contreverisal, ergo im gonna post a picof derpy wearing a soldier hat
As far as remembering veterans goes, I intend to show them respect. In many ways, war is the sum of all evil, but there are times when it is wiser to hate the game, not the player. I like drawing because it's fun, and practice does help. The most fun part of art for me is sharing it, even though I'm not talented. Would you consider writing a form of art? In addition to that, would you consider authors to be artists?
Today was a good one in terms of the respect shown at College, I don't think any student within the library (at the time of the 2 mins silence) uttered a word throughout. Which is very un-common here as the majority is made up of low-life Chav. What brought it closer to home was the fact a soldier who recently died in Afghanistan was a pupil at my College a few years ago. As with the poppy-burners - well...I won't post my views on here, I don't want to cause offence.
